Ok we all have heard of Punxsutawney Phil and you if haven't then google it on your own time im not going to explain this stupid event known as Groundhogs day. This is 'Punxy' (A shortened name used by the people who are 'familiar' with the town)
I however live about two inches east of it in a small town of...you really dont care do you...moving on...
So every year a mass group of people will gather in this town and worship this guy:
Yes im talking about Punxsutawney Phil, the groundhog, not the guy. Apparently each year with his groundhog powers he will make a prediction based on his shadow if there will be '6 more weeks of winter or if spring is just around the corner!"
And this folks is where it all goes wrong...
Lets think about this for a second...What relevance does your shadow have to the weather anyway...and if you look at whatever means of keeping track of what day it is, you will find that no matter what you do, there will always be 6 more weeks of winter. So this raises a question. Why in the hell is their such thing as Groundhogs day?
