I wish the original Iron Chef was still on the Food Network.. Sure the new American Iron chef is alright, but it’s not over dubbed, and what fun is that? The only cool part about Iron Chef America is that Bobby flay is in it and Morimoto would also appear sometimes, Flay doesn’t even act like a bad a** anymore, I mean what, will he get fired for standing on a cutting board? Or has he just sold out, probably.. The Chairman is some crazy bald Guy who can’t even stand next to Kaga Takeshi. This bald host is sort of cool though, he yells the theme ingredient with much enthusiasm and does some karate chops when the battle starts, and he is said to be Kaga’s cousin or something.. This what I have heard from so kids at my school a two years ago.. At least the new American Iron chef has format and sort of stays true to the original unlike the shortly lived Iron Chef USA that took place in Las Vegas and was hosted by William Shatner, this was the worst, but having Shatner act similar to Takeshi was funny all by itself. Why would the Food Network take off the original? Is it still on? I don’t think so, unless I am missing it… But people would rather watch a twit named Ratchel Ray cook for an hour, Instead seeing a kick a** battle of the culinary arts. And the hordes of senior citizens who watch Emeril are not helping. The Original was so great. Chairman Kaga, a god of our times, with his crazy Michael Jackson like uniforms and psychopathic acting skills. And the chefs, Morimoto was a mad man, Chen Kenichi was a sweaty b*****d, and Sakai looked like a Yakuza/ Actor/ Chef with his killer sun glasses, Kobe was a bit of a side kick chef since he wasn’t part of three who arise when Kaga called them forth. And the commentary provided by the Fukui and Dr. Hattori was the best. And the constant interruptions made by Ohta… classic. And the guest judges/ taste testers were the most entertaining aside from Kaga, from old whiney fortune teller ladies complaining about how a soup is to hot to young photographers trying to act smarter than they really are by using big words.. Jackie Chan was even a judge once! Imagine if Chan got in a fight with Chen…

Did you know Kaga Takeshi played Jesus Christ in the Japanese version of the play Jesus Christ super star! Now that’s awesome. He also voiced a character in one of the Japanese pokemon movies. “Tell me what you eat and I well tell you who you are.” Why god… Why did the Japanese kitchen stadium have to close….. Life is less hilarious and fun without Iron chef on TV… If it’s still on please tell me… I am probably just missing it when it’s on like an idiot.
