reversing the roles
By some freak accident I have been horribly mutilated. My shallow outlook on life to this point has led me to nothing but misery. On the morning on which I was cluelessly spending my foolish profits at the nearest shopping center, a misplaced bringer of misfortune found me in its path. For hours I knew of nothing. When I awoke I could not feel anything. After I regained feeling, I looked in the mirror, only to reveal a hideous mass of flesh: one side of my previously taken for granted body has been replaced by prosthetics. The doctors said it was all they could do to save me, but still, who could ever love something so ugly? I have realized the previous error in my ways and have chosen to seek the deeper meaning behind these unfortunate circumstances.
