Well, today, I can proudly declare that I've finally seen Balto II: Wolf Quest, and the absolute nonsense that goes into it. I'll admit, they did try with it, but it's awful. Plain awful.
The script was bad, the animation was of poor quality, and it left me irritated to the core. I'll be having trouble sleeping tonight. Thank you, you lousy egoistic I-CAN-SPELL-SO-MY-SCRIPTS-ARE-FANTASTIC @$$hats.
...okay, so maybe it was not the movie that got me riled up; after all, it's still just a movie.
What had me infuriated was the insensitive comments left by the viewers.
Three-quarters or more said they wanted to pick Aleu, not because she had a great personality, but because she looked like a wolf, and they wanted a wolf for a pet.
...YOU IGNORANT IDIOTS!! *cough* I'm sorry for that, but it needed to be said.
For starters, that's what caused the whole trouble with the wolfdogs; royalty thought having wolves on their hunting teams would impress others, but felt the wolves were too small and too hard to domesticate. Thus, they bred them with their large dogs. As a consequence, the poorly-trained wolfdogs went berserk and attacked at random, causing the such a bad reputation for the wolves that they were freely hunted.
So please, I beg of you, stop it. Wolves are beautiful WILD creatures that belong in the WILD and should be kept that way. Stop hurting them, stop trying to keep them, and STOP wanting pets that are part wolf or look like a wolf; you don't know the HALF of what it means to keep one.
Sleep on that and grow up...stupid morons.
