Simple as that, and yet, I just left a discussions in the chatterbox where some ignorant little girl started a thread called, “What’s the point of Chinese people?” Then started going off about how useless they were, and stereo-typing them for their culture. Have the crap that girl said were things done in other cultures. Then she became racist saying white-people are the only good people. Has our society fallen so low that people think it’s okay to be ignorant? Or arrogant? So arrogant to the point where one feels justified to make rude untrue comments upon another culture without even having the slightest understanding of that culture? When last I checked, Society held other cultures in high respect instead of discrimination. Has the world really y fallen so much in the last few years?
I pointed out that just like any other race, whether it be white or black, purple or red or yellow, every race, every culture has its faults and its good points too. But that still give no right to anyone to start to discriminate about them either. And just because I pointed that out, people came down on me for “doing the exact same thing.” What the hell are they trying to pull? They think they are sounding smart when in essence, they don’t know what the hell I’m talking about. stare
Has out society fallen so low that we accept arrogance, ignorance, and racism with open arms when we can’t even accept another culture?...
If so, that sickens me.
