Omigods, todaywasawesomeeee.
[no, I don't have leprasy...you nuts ._.]
I stayed afterschool and went to go to a Leprasy(sp?!) home where people with leprasy stay so people can take care of them for their dying years ): </3
So. It's a community service thing, and we just go and hang out with them for 2 hours and serve them their dinner and we're off~ I joined it today, and I'ma keep going <333 I love the people there; they're adorable :D!
Even if they have so little for themselves, all they want to do is give things to you D': <333
Leprasy is a terminal dissease in which your skin - and or organs and limbs - decompose while you're alive. It IS painful as your skin is being slowly eaten away, and your limbs fall off, if not amputated first neutral Yes, I'm sure it'd hurt.
This one guy, somethingratherLennieorsomething didn't have any fingers, or legs - cut off at the knees - and his face was already decomposing but...he was so sweeeet <3 I miss him :[
All the people there are pretty darn old - 60+ years old - and there's this one chick that doesn't talk, but it's said that she's 100+ years old. And I met her kindasorta 88DD
Awwww, it was great being there...It makes you sooo thankfull of what you've got in life, because...all these people don't have much. a;skdjfmalksdf It's hard to explain, but they're adorable ]: <333
Now I just want to take all the clothes from my closet, and everything I have, and donate it to places. Whee <3
Lenniepersonperson was such an inspiration to my art <3 Having on fingers, he still manages to create peices of artwork with the finest details such as a whisp of hair, the teeth on a koi, the fishing lines and every fiber on those fishing lines that have been chewed a tad. a;slkdmflc crazyyy. And he does this all by holding a paintbrush between two palms only D: <333
Omgizzle. I love that place. And I thought that the leprasy carriers would've scared me, but I love them because they're sooo friendly, and adorable and nice and they're always smiling at you and I love themmmm.
I can't explain the experience...It was amazinggg.
And I was only there for like two hours.
I like that I get to help those people even the slightest bit, and make their last years, months, weeks, and days better than it would've been D: :]]
