The Dragon Prophecy 1

Introduction
Year: Place: Dragon Knight Castle
On a cold frigid winter night, a little girl quietly waits in the darkness by herself. Waiting patiently for her father to come back home. As the double doors open and a strange man in a black trench coat approaches her. As thunder cracks down, he grabs the little girl and jumps out the castle window. When the child screamed, the guards came running into her bedroom only to find a pendent with the letters DP engraved in it.

Year: 3058 Place: Dragon Knight Ruins

I used to dream about living a normal life, like most people would, little girls and boys playing outside. Mothers and fathers coming home from work to greet their children with arms of love and care. But that was a long…long time ago. I am Gabriel, a dragon knight. A Kingdom that once flourished with civilians and power, but that was until the black outlaws came. They supposedly overran our kingdom in order to gain domination and be all powerful. They almost succeeded. But there are a few of the dragon knights that remain in hiding. I am one of them. It all started when I was a little girl. As soon as the black outlaws came, I was taken away from harms way. I was waiting for my father to come home from what was supposed to be a negotiation with the black outlaws…but I never saw him again, and I ‘m unable to remember his name. Though I was a small child, the chilling and vivid memories still haunt me in my dreams.
A man who was dress in a black coat came in through the window and saved me. Once the guards found out I was missing, all hope was lost. I am different from most dragon knights. Unlike my father and mother and family, I am immortal…undying.

Even though the guards gave their lives for my safety, it was all in vein. Even though I have aged, I have eternal youth. Not only have I aged, but my will to regenerate my species has grown. I have been taught to trust my instincts alone. Being wise has also come with the changing times. I am trained mentally and physically to have determination and will to keep fighting. Unlike my past that can’t be changed, my future is anything but unchangeable. This is a story among stories, epic among epics, this is the dragon prophecy.

Chapter1
Rebirth
As I reach into a dusty bookshelf, I think about times of war and desperation. The cover has a face of which I remember. Mitch, the hobbit, rather greedy but still has good intensions at times. We have been friends as long as I can remember, a friendship that has outlasted time itself. He is one of my memories that haven’t faded because he is alive and well. He is king of the hobbits. His forest is well hidden amongst the shrubs in a forest close to the city. He saved my life as a little girl when I was down by the river. My mother’s pendent slipped in and when I reached down to grab it, I fell in. I couldn’t swim, at the time but out of nowhere, a hand of a small boy reached and grabbed my wrist and tugged me out of the water. Hobbits are known for their freakish strength. Mitch and I soon became friends after the incident.

My mother had died from the outlaws. They burnt the castle down to the ground and left the innocent for the wild animals or for nature to run its course. Unfortunately, they took her away from the safety of the castle walls and killed her.

Times have drastically changed from since when I was little. Now, there are people who aren’t people at all. They’re AI’s, or artificial intelligence. They were once humans but a few volunteered to go under a study to alter their appearance. But they government did much more then that. They changed them into a whole other species. These AI’s can’t be detected by the normal human eye; you have to use a sensor to read the bar code inside of them.

Our corrupted government is so ruthless in their own studies; they’ll take children away and turn them into AI’s. Brainwash them to have no memory of their parents or of their life before hand. This terrible transformation is a problem of my own. When they found me in a dark, musty ally, they took me away and changed me. I was different though, they were trying to remake the army forces and make them into perfect killing machines. I was turned into a guinea pig for the project. It was a success so I am a killing machine, not by choice, but by my design.

While they were running test on their new creation, the amount of stress and power they were putting on my body made me go mad. I started to go by pure instinct. If it moved, I went after it. The ability to control my power was no longer under my wings. I fled away; I didn’t care where I just ran till my lungs felt like they were going to implode. A man found me and tamed my wild outrages. His name was Raphael; he was like a father figure to me. Through my struggle and his patients, I learned to master my outrages and power. I combined the two and realized that this life of mine was forbidden, I shouldn’t be alive. The power I possess shouldn’t be just made by a human, something so imperfect.

I step outside into the cold industrial world and I look around. What do I see? I see buildings crawling to the sky, people and AI’s, and pollution. I meander across the side street wondering if the government will find me and try to destroy me. Even though I am aware that I am immortal, the fear is still there, one of my emotions that I can’t shake off. I keep looking over my shoulders, suspicious that someone is watching or following me. I quickly keep moving forward, hoping if someone is watching me, then they won’t be stupid enough to make a scene and attack me. I finally get out of the city and quickly head towards the forest. Now I know something is there.

I grasp the hilt of my sword and quickly pulled it out. I close my eyes and listen to the trees, whispering to me and telling me whose there. But even the trees won’t talk to me, for they fear of who is in their forest. They do not know who is invading their sacred territory. I raise my hand to the sky, with my sword clenched in my hand. “Show yourself!” I bellowed, but the only response I get is rustling of birds fleeing from the sound of my voice.

The echo’s of my voice resounded across the forest…Whoever was there, was gone now. I quickly sheathed my sword hoping no one had seen my outburst. I quickly regained my emotions and kept walking. I couldn’t shake the uncomfortable feeling I had in my soul, but I kept striding on.
