I've not played any of the other previous .hack// games but I hear they're really good and worth looking into. I'll do that when I have the time and money. So far I've been practically hooked on G.U. (I've forgotten what it stands for but that's not to say I'm going to reveal it and spoil it.)
So I'm level 50 and the works... Invincible and my neighbour kid, of whom I babysit (technically), that brings over his PS2 for me to play it is rather jealous of me since I've achieved that level way too early and made the rest of the game look way too easy with my skills, power, equipment and high level for the event/area I should be in.
What can I say. I'm slightly good. Not to brag or boost my ego, but I think I've done well enough. I know I'm far from the best.
Not yet done EVERY quest or map. Not every boss or monster data collected, not all equipment and that found etc...
But I'm getting there, little by little. The game is great in my opinion. Most of my time spent on the game was reading and browsing the forums and yes, I have read each and EVERY topic and word it has to offer. I can't say I can recall everything word for word but the general gist of it all is there.
I really would love to get my hands on the second copy of G.U. For those interested: ".hack//G.U. Vol. 2 //Reminisce, which is tentatively scheduled to be released Summer of '07 in the United States." (It's already out in Japan, so is #3 as far as I understand as well. I could be wrong on #3 though.)
I woke up at 0300h (3:00 AM) and just started playing it. Did nothing else all day and loved it! I can't wait for after school hours tomorrow so that I can sit down to it and play it once again.
