What's happenin
Hey this is just a place I thought I'd write about upcoming events for me and where I can just vent out a few feeling when I really need to (like when I'm really sad or just plain crazy!) Feel free to veiw and enjoy~!
A Chapter From a Zelda FanFic I've written ^^
It was a usual night in the Kokori forest. Usual being quiet, a subtle glow emanating from the occasional fairy casting dream dust about eh tickling grass or knobby gnarled trees flanked by small white blossoms, and usual being that Link could not sleep.
He lay there on his back peering into the darkness with a pondering gaze as if searching the shadow. Something just was out of place.
With a frustrated huff Link couldn’t help but reflect on the events from the previous morning, he and Darky had stumbled into an argument. Though he and Darky always seemed to be bickering about something or other, this quarrel held a sense of stronger opposition than usual.
Link had had a nightmare and awakened screaming “Mother!” A faint image of a gentle face still seemed to haunt his dreams. Her eyes full of love and regret sent ripples of loss through Link. He didn’t even really remember her much, but the lack of her presence was all too nagging. Coping with the spiritual encounters through his dreams was a hard enough trial, Darky finding insensitive fun with his ordeals only caused him to anger.
But Link sorely regretted causing the absence of Darky now. He hadn’t seen him all day and his company was missed terribly.
That was it. He sat up from his bed sheets and crossed to the door of his small, round Kokori styled tree house. It was no wonder that sleep evaded him. Where was Darky??

It was perfect. Darky used all of his might to keep from allowing his laughter to explode and tried to focus on his knots. The tree beside him growled with disapproval , Darky was deaf to such things by then though.
He took it back; It wasn’t perfect, it was unbelievably perfect. With his red eyes a-glow in the soft moonlight and his dark bangs hanging over his face, he finished the set-up and wiped his hands on his grass-stained boots, the moss provided to be a spongy mattress as he crouched in between a pair of friendly ferns and waited for Link to come.
It was long, but not too long for impatience to find it’s way, but long enough before Darky detected the whisper of dry grasses on Link’s ankles, just beyond the deer trail. It was the deer trail, flooded with bushes and crammed over with trees, that lead to Darky’s grove cast in leafy shadow.
He bit his lip and held his amusement in as he envisioned Link at the very moment, ducking the low branches, stepping over the fallen log then stopping at the red X outlined in choke cherries. The target was on Link’s left (Darky’s right) and left enough space on the other side of the trail that one could easily dodge it. Too easily.
Darky’s lip wasn’t sufficient enough so he moved to his wrist. He could see it all, Link torn between stepping on the X (For Darky often put his snares on the unmarked half) or stepping over the unmarked half. (For he equally placed his traps on the X’s)
The red eyes had begun to water and his wrist hurt terribly. Eventually, Link would find that neither was too risky, and take a running leap over the whole thing.
The silence was suspended in the air, Darky’s wrist bled, and the moon was shrouded by a low cloud. Then the unmistakable sound of a running pace though packed earth broke the suspension, the snap of a twig, the twang of a terribly intricate web of ropes, and Link’s surprised and angry yell.
“DARKY!!”
Darky burst from the ferns laughing until he was quite certain he might lose a lung, then fell beneath where Link hung by his ankle (and fought ferociously to keep his tunic from revealing his underpants) and lost his balance to roll and laugh and laugh and roll.
“I tied you up!” He eventually managed through tears.
A snarl was Link’s reply as his hands snatched the air, reaching for Darky.
“You-let-me-down! Or-I’ll-“, he cut off short as he swung a fist in Darky’s direction, Darky’s smug smile was just sickening. If only he could wipe that smirk off with a good ‘one, two’!
“Ye-ahhhh!”
Link landed head first into the flattened grass below, with a ‘thud’. All sense of longing for Darky was long gone by now.
Grumbling, Link lay in the grass fuming with a deep desire to get back. After a moment of waiting, Link launched himself to where he envisioned Darky to still be snickering behind him, but only met headlong into a mass of bark and moss.
“Stupid tree!!”
“Well c’mon Linky-poo! It’s time to sleep; we’ve got to go home now.” Darky poked his head through a spot free of bramble and smiled, “you do look a bit exhausted.”

Oh! Thanks Ger! We did continue it quite a bit!
It was Darky and Link's adventure through Hyrule.
Yep! Link is my favorite, but unfortunatly I can't make him win all the time. I wanted Darky to come across as a ruthless teaser. ^^
Link Love!
