My dad's unit had their first casualty a few days ago. I believe the vehicle the soldier was driving in drove over a land mine and that's what happened. My dad (because he's the doctor for all 1000 of his marines along with only one other doctor) was pulled out of bed and dragged to the scene where the fatality happened. On the way there, my dad's vehicle (the one he was in) unknowingly drove over a land mine but apparently the vehicle wasn't heavy enough or the mine was a dud or something so it didn't explode.
I truly truly believe that prayer is why my father is still alive. I appreciate all of you guys out there (and I know there are quite a few of you because you've told me) that are praying for him. I really appreciate it.
I hope all of you had a wonderful Easter. I got lots of candy (namely Reeses and Peeps because I love them so much) so now I'll probably be fat because I just eat and eat and eat. I have a problem with that. >_<
I may actually have some pictures for you guys who are keeping up with me later just in case you wanna see them. ^_^ I've got some new pictures of my cats (in case you care) that I think are awesome. One of my cats (Kanga) killed a lone sock yesterday and I got an...interesting picture of her with it. xd She's funny.
