Interesting little blip of news on the dim radar that is my life. As I've probably said before, I work for the K Mart here in Deland. Well I come to find out this weekend that my K Mart shall soon be no more.

However, I'm not losing my job over this. Confused yet? Let me 'splain it for you then.

Late last year, those who follow business news know that K Mart bought out Sears & Roebuck for about $11 Million and now the two companies are one. As a result of this, many K Mart stores are switching over to stand alone SEARS Essentials stores and SEARS stores are carrying K Mart products. Within the next few months, my K Mart is being switched over to one of these SEARS Essetials stores and I have to go through an interview to see if I'm "hired" to stay at the store. I don't think that's going to be much of a problem and the really cool thing about it is that the Electronics section (Where I work) is going to double and look more like a standard SEARS Electronics department with lots of HDTV's and all sorts of other stuff. It's going to be good times indeed.

Hopefully I'll get a bit of a pay increase along with this too and maybe even a slightly larger employee discount. That's all kind of just wishful thinking as far as this deal goes, but let me have my dillusions.

On the homefront, I went out to the beach last night to insure that my heart stays connected to Monica (Don't ask because you won't get it). The only problem was that there's apparently very little actual beach on the beach. I drove for about 5 miles down coastline of Daytona Beach looking for the ocean and all I could find were hotels and condos. I eventually found a spot though and talked with Monica on the phone while standing in the ocean and getting what I needed. I hadn't been in awhile and it was nice to feel the cold water on my body again. I think I'll have to try and do it more often come the summer, if gas prices don't smite my wallet first.

After I came home and continued talking to Monica like I had been for the past hour, I finally got off of the phone with her so she could go watch Alice in Wonderland and so I could finish my Music Theory project. In the middle of working on it though, I just collapsed on the futon in exhaustion because I'd only gotten a total of 4 hours of sleep over the past two days. Josh came in sometime around one and he sort of talked to me in my sleep induced stupor before I collapsed back to the pillow. When I woke up again about 3:45 AM, Monica had already gone to bed and I felt so saddened. I didn't get to tell her goodnight and let her know that I was sorry for collapsing earlier and not calling her back. After I did what I needed to do with the seawater I collected from the beach, I went back to bed and tried to think about how I was going to make it up to her for being weak and needing sleep. sad

When you read this love, I'll think of someway to make it up to you that involves one of your many favourite things like torture, making fun of people, killing spiders or sex.

Right now, I'm going to stop skipping and go to class despite feeling pretty terrible right now.
