Chapter 1
Lost and Found
Redsplash awoke to the sound of arguing wolves. She blinked, not understanding what was going on. Her sight was blurred, and sounds were muffled. It took awhile for her to gain her senses. She looked around; she was surrounded by unknown wolves. The smells of the unknown wolves attacked her nostrils. She raised her head, but a black and white wolf stepped on the back of her neck preventing her from lifting it up. “Stay down, intruder!" Redsplash struggled in vain as she tried and free herself. “Who are you? What do you want with me? What’s going on? “The black wolf glared at her. “I am Steelpelt, alpha of the Morein pack. A few of our scouts spotted you, and the rest of my pack came to investigate." Red stared at each one of the wolves. One of them caught her eye, a white and red wolf behind the Black brute.
"Bloodlust..."Red glared.”Redsplash..."The red and white wolf returned Redsplash's glare. The brute upon Red's neck blinked. “Bloodlust... do you know this intruder?" There was a chorus of murmurs among the pack. "Steelpelt, I do know her. Please, get off of her." "As you wish. “The brute got off of red and backed away."...So...Blood...You really were exiled by the old hag huh?" Red got up, the pack's guard went up, one wrong move could make her end up dead. Bloodlust nodded to her pack mates, and they dropped there guard a little. “Yes...I was exiled by Whitewind. What would it mean to you?" Red turned her back to Bloodlust. “It means nothing...yet...I will leave... if your pack doesn't want me here. And by the way...What part do you play among these...weaklings?"
Bloodlust parted her muzzle to speak, but was interupted."Weakling?! Who are calling weakling, you overgrown pile of rotted meat and bone?!” Another wolf stepped up, then another, and another, until basically the whole pack was on top of Red, though she didn't seem to care. The outraged pack threw insults at Red, but it didn't affect her at all. “SILENCE!" Bloodlust yelled. Immediately the pack stopped. “I am alpha of this pack...Red...I suggest you leave before these wolves attack you.." Red stared. “I have black blood in my veins, there would be no need to worry even if the whole pack attacked me." She began sprinting and disappeared behind the low brush.
Red looked back as she ran through the underbrush. ‘I need to get back to the Black-Blood territories.....' She thought to herself. She quickly navigated her way out of the forest and out into a large clearing. Some stags and a few does were grazing in the area, she decided that she would take one with her to the den. She stalked a healthy looking and large stag. The stag was grazing in a red patch of flowers, which provided perfect camouflage for her. She hid beneath the flowers and waited for the stag to get close enough for her to ambush it. She smiled slightly as the stag got into her pouncing range. She jumped up and bit at the stag's throat, even though she was only two and a half year old juvenile, she had the agility, and the strength of an adult wolf.
Redsplash dragged the carcass into the den and saw the alpha of the pack staring down at her. “I’m very sorry for my disappearance, Swiftkill... I brought this stag." She apoligized.The alpha smiled. “I forgive you, Redsplash, but don't do that again, you scared everyone out of their wits, and thank you for you offering, put it over there near the rest of the meat, we can use it for the white season's stock, the white season is just around the corner, after all." Red sighed out of relief."Y-yeah..."
