As you all know, I'm not planning to give any story spoilers (the fact that I don't have much of the story planed helps that) but I will tell ya some of the races that are going to be in my campaign. It will have been a long time since most of the first generation half-espers were born, once the campaign starts. As explained before; the magical aspects of espers causes the ability to breed with any other species with similar characteristics or forms. If this causes confusion still, I'm going to put it plainly: Magic. So there are going to be a large number of different races. Most of these will seem to be not human, that's because there's little human left in some of the races. A lot of them are more heavily based on the animal aspect of the species. If you refer to Final Fantasy, you'll find most of the races are represented well in at least one of the games. You will find some familiar races like Humans, Dwarfs, Moogles, some not so familiar, like Bangaa, Nu Mou, Viera, and the Espers. Now, most of these will be similar, but not exactly the same as those that you are familiar to. Espers are the main change, being that they are not originally from the same plane. Also, that all other races owe existence to half-espers' divergence from normal companionship. wink There will be other races in my campaign, most common D&D races will be present, along with some psyonic races. There will also be some mythology based creatures, along with a few races that are just plain made up. (Based on anime characters or Japanese folklore) That's all the explainin I'm doin for now, if ya want more comment, ask me directly, or just wait 'till the campaign starts.

Thousands of years ago... There was a world called Terra. This world was made of a large continent, called Mundo covering 40% of the world. In the Great Ocean were many islands, connecting the north of the continent to the south and the east to the west. At the intersection of the islands connecting the four corners of the world, there was a large island called Pouco. While civilization was still in it's infancy, there were three different ideas on how to live, one was the nomadic way, one was the free hunting way, and one was the way of the farmer. Many years passed and at the end of this period, the humans of this world were in one of these specific categories. The Nomads and the Free Tribes of the planes did not change much over the years. However, as time progressed, the farmers took up the ways of invention. After decades had passed, cities were growing ever more abundant, and eventually, some began to band together; creating the first territories. With territories came conflict. At first the conflicts were small, but eventually the Free Tribes and the Nomads were pushed too far. Thus began the Great Terra War. The war lasted for two years, with the numbers of the Nomads and the Free Tribes overwhelming all others. When the dust settled, the lines were drawn. The Nomads had reign over all the forests in the east. The Free Tribes controlled all of the central plains, linking all four of the island corners. The two major powers of the territories controlled the barrens in the southwest and the Mountains in the northwest. All others were pushed onto the islands, eventually settling on the major island of Pouco. Many decades passed and the borders changed little. All was leaning toward a time of peace and capitalism. All was favoring the Free Tribes, who were the connectors for all other powers in the world, making them trading specialists. All was good, until one day, the "Day of Monsters." The years leading up to the "Day of Monsters" had been of great spiritual enlightenment. The monks of the Northern Free Tribes had discovered enlightenment in mass, causing a great awareness of the other world, Gaia. Being in an enlightened state, the monks began acknowledging the existence of celestial. After reaching this state, they began to wander throughout the entire world teaching of the other plane, celestials, and enlightenment. A few years later, came the fateful day. Individuals from every region unanimously came to a collective realization, that they could communicate directly, and make pacts with celestials. Many of them wanted to go to the other world. Many did. Gaia was a place of magic. Magic so powerful that linking intimately with an Esper let a hybrid child to be created. In the beginning there were many with the ability to cross the planes. Then came the Great Planer War. Going to Gaia caused Ghosts to be created there, and due to the mass of people crossing the planes, the ghosts were abundant. At first the ghosts posed no threat in the least, mealy fear. But soon, the ghosts shown their true colors. Many died from the ghosts in Gaia, and some of the Espers wanted to get back at those who indirectly caused the deaths; the Planer Terrans. The "Day of Monsters" was the first wave of Planer Espers that came to kill Planer Terrans. The Terrans, with no magic at all, were at the mercy of the radical Espers, many were killed, then the Great Summoning happened. The Gaian Partners of the Planer Terrans had used the first summon contract, and fought off the wave of radical Espers. The Great Planer War went on for twenty long years. Many Terrans were killed, many being Planer travelers. All of the radical espers were killed in the war, and many were killed further by the ghosts. Planer monks discovered that they had the ability to exercise the ghost with their will power. Many Planer Monks became traveling nomads exorcising ghosts whenever they met one, rarely branching out of their nomadic services. Centuries passes, magic was abundant in both planes, as was science, but those of Gaia were still always more magic oriented. It was a time of peace, once again. That changed, as it always does. The Island states had gained much power since the Planer War. They were always the weakest power of the world, when this changed, they then started their plans of world domination. That concludes the History of the World: part 0. you're going to have to wait to hear more until my campaign starts. ninja
