I was once asked by a friend why I write poems and not stories. I could have told this friend how it was a poor use of my time to come up with a page worth of words to get my point across, when I can do the same thing simply by saying two short lines. Knowing my friend as I do, I offered the best example, one that is so easy to understand. "Tell me, when you're whispering sweet nothings and hoping for a kiss, would you like to have it in a few minuets or after a few hours?"
I think I made my point after that, because my friend stopped asking.
I'll give you a poem next time
