Times are hard for the pirates within the space-boards the Galactic Congregate control. Law enforcement is high, strong and vigilant. They do not relent in their constant pursuit of any suspected pirate vessel. This has made it increasingly difficult to find work, even more so to complete the work that is found. Pirates are a quickly dying breed, snuffed out and locked away are many. The rest are dead. This is what the Galactic Congregate wants. They are the reason times are hard. There are those that do not bow to the Galactic Congregates wishes. They are few but they are cunning and resourceful. They have connections and plans. Any poor sot would be lucky to be part of a crew like them. Though, the same poor sots are lucky they are not connected to such people. It is rumored the Galactic Congregate has sent their most skilled soldiers after those pirate crews. They sent the Brigade. Whoever these people are they must be plotting something devastating. The rumors are not far off there are some pirate crews who are being hunted. It is why one such crew has made port on an outer rim planet, Tefta, as they wait out the Brigade patrols orbiting the planet. Sadly, the crew is restless and there seems to be far more Brigade activity on the planet surface than there had been a few days earlier. The pirate ship and crew may have to vacate sooner than hoped. Curiosity plagues the Captain of the Tefta bound pirate crew. He wonders how they were located. He knows his crew isn’t to blame, but something nags at him. His gut tells him something is off, something is wrong. The feelings origin is soon realized when his ship is three crew members heavier. Two females on the run, daughters of a politician, one is the family outcast long since forgotten and alienated from her old life; she is a doctor. While the other female is the younger sister, on a personal quest of sorts to find her older sister, and it seems she has completed her quest and landed herself in a bit of a pickle. The Captain doesn’t know their story but he lets them aboard, his ship needs a doctor. The other new member is a young boy, also on the run but who isn’t now-a-days, and admittedly the Captain knows even less of his story. The Captain lets him aboard too, only for the fact the kid has gotten cozy with one of his crew members. The Captain figures these new people are plants meant to infiltrate his ship. He isn’t sure if they’re privy to their purpose in the grand scheme of things or not, but the Captain has plans and he can use all the hands he can get.
