OOC Talk:
**The name Elphaba came from the author of "The Wizard of Oz"...L. Frank. Baum; El (L)- PHA (F and A from Frank)- BA (B and A from Baum)**
**I have read the book, I KNOW that Fiyero is indeed dead, however, since Elphaba was under the impression he lives on as the Scarecrow I prefer to continue to play the part as such (and since he really WAS Fiyero in the Musical) , I am truly sorry for any and all inconveniences this might cause**
**I'm open to any and all suggestions on what to buy or quest for to make my cosplay better, as long as you don't steal it**
**Fanart is appreciated but never expected or required (and when I say fanart I don't mean you specifically drew it for ME but rather you drew actual Wicked fanart and don't mind if I put it on my page)**
**All artwork on my page is accredited to its proper artist (and if possible the website it is from as well) and if not PLEASE alert me and I will accredit said artwork**
**DO. NOT. STEAL. THE. ARTWORK. ON. MY. PAGE. The artwork on my page is not only a small tribute to Elphaba, but to the artists who drew them as well, so DON'T steal it, because if I find out you stole their artwork I will screenshot and report immediately.**
**I usually act crazy and silly should I ever be caught in towns, however, upon request I will act as Elphaba normally would, and vice versa, upon reuest I will act like I normally would (granted this request is in towns or I agree to meet you in towns)**
**Please feel free to correct my avvi's cosplay or how I go about as Elphaba in general, unlike most people I actually aim to improve...however, if you do so, please do so in a constructive and civil manner, a simple "YOU SUCKZORZ~!!!!111211!11eleventwelve!!11!11!" is not only not going to help me, but since I'm now under the impression you're a noob/jerk/somebody who very obviously CANNOT type (even in netspeak) you will most likely end up on my ignored list (and repeat offenders get screenshot’d and reported) unless I know its a joke and was told of this comment ahead of time**
Q & A Session:
Q: Why did you choose to cosplay/ Roleplay Elphaba?
A: Because out of all the cast of Wicked I felt I related to Elphaba more than any other character, AND the fact that she is my favorite out of all of them.
Q: Did you feel the same way about the original Wicked Witch of the West?
A: I certainly did not. When I was a child NOTHING scared me more than The Wicked Witch of the West. I can still remember my spine shivering when she cackled "I'll get you MY PRETTY...And your little DOG, too!" the frst time I watched The Wizard of Oz.
Q: Is there a difference between The Wicked Witch of the West and Elphaba to you?
A: Yes and No: Yes in a sense that eventually Elphaba is pushed into living up to the title but NO in a sense that she wasn't born with it nor did she actually EARN it. If you're talking about the character n Oz in comparison to the character in Wicked I see them as one in the same, both terrifying, except one is so because they were meant to be and written as such and the OTHER is because People actually WOULD treat Elphaba the way the Ozians did in real life.
Q: Which story do you prefer: the original Wizard of Oz or the glorified fanfiction to that unverse which is Wcked?
A: I actually enjoy BOTH, but if had to choose I would choose Wicked simply because it's less one-dimensional than it's fathering story both plot-wise and character-wise...Wicked gives Oz the depth it needs to makes it more interesting because it brings a new and fresh perspective to seemingly "cookie-cutter" Characters. A good set of examples would be Glinda and Elphaba: a Mary-sue mentor with an overly terrifying Antagonist now become a very much flawed Prep who grew out of her vanity and selfishness while the Antagonist became so because she was misunderstood and tried to do good but was scorned for it and standing up for what she believed in. Ask yourself which story is more interesting to you. While I will always have a respect for Oz since it FATHERED Wicked, there shouldn't be a rule stating you can't enjoy a new look at an old story.
