Yes, the best time of the year. A time when people dress up like idiots to show school spirit. Then they all go and watch they're team fight for the pride of they're school (because we all know school is about the sports, GOD forbid we actually learn anything). And then there's the dance. Now, the dance is based on popularity. The more popular you are, the more likely you are to have a date that they won't pay attention to the entire night while the girls without dates would do anything to have a boy to be with. Then there is the music. Now, contrary to popular belief, not everyone likes rap line dance music. Some people actually do like to rock out once in a while. Then there's the chaprones who try to enforce school PDA rules during the dance.
No matter who helps out with the whole thing and who put the most work into it, it's always student council who gets the credit, because they are the pricipals pets.
I have been kicked out of pep asseblies because I 'don't have enough spirit'.
So what is school more about? Athletics? Or the real reason we're there: learning?
