Playing the account punchdoctor here. It's been a while since I've played adv-lit on Gaia, and my usual site tends to be more chill on length, but I can get some older Gaia posts if the long posts that pop up in this RP aren't good enough.◓

Morone can "proudly" lay claim that they were one of the oldest Neo-Pokemon experiments brought to life by Team Clarity, and possibly one of the oldest Water Pokemon. Basculin by their nature are highly aggressive and voracious eaters who make do wherever they live. This made them a perfect Neo-Pokemon of the waterways, unafraid to take on whatever they encountered. Yet because of this aggressive nature that often made them literally try to bite the hand that fed them, Morone (known as merely #550 by their captors) was heavily restricted in both their containment via particular water tubes and tanks along with when they were sent out with either a handler or a chip that was embedded in their body. The only reason they ever heard about occasionally escapes or missing Neo-Pokemon was because Team Clarity mistook their silent aggression for lack of intelligence, occasionally venting about such mistakes. When Team Clarity was finally taken down, they were hopeful that perhaps there would be greener kelp, so to speak, on the other side... But the treatment of humans towards Neo-Pokemon dashed those hopes, making Morone more bitter and aggressive than ever, along with leaving them confused on their own identity. After roaming seas and rivers, being a nuisance at best to humans when they ran into them, Morone was startled to find themself suddenly teleported and humbled by who had done it. They channeled their aggression into something productive in making the town, especially towards a bath house with portions especially made in mind for more aquatic Pokemon and Neo-Pokemon like themself. For a short while, they were actually happy.... But the interest of humans has set them back, unconvinced they or their kind will ever be truly accepted by those who made this mess in their first place (in Morone's opinion). The order of Arceus has left them confused and frustrated, feelings torn between their trauma and the order of someone they view as a savior of sorts.
