*1. Allah (Ah-luh) - God in Arabic, the language of the Islamic region.
*2. Allah-o-Akbar (Ah-luh oh Ahk-bahr) - "God is great!"
*3. Asalaam-o-Aleikam (uh-suh-lahm oh Uh-leh-Koom) - Traditonal Greeting.

*4. Betal (Beet-uhl) - A nut with red juice and narcotic properties. *5. Bhai (bhii) - Brother.

*7. Chadr (chad-duhr) - A cloth worn by women as a head cover. *8. Chapati (Chah-pah-tee) - A flat, Round bread made of whole weat and water,cooked in a flat pan over a open fire.

Mujahideen (muh-jah-hih-deen) - Muslim fighters engaged in battle with non-muslim enemy. *27. Muslim (Muh-slihm) - A person who follows the religon of Islam.
