Now, as a little kid, I'd always dreamed of being some kind of a super hero helping the community, as most of us have, but not until recently had I thought about werewolves... Then, I just happened to turn into one. But I'm not a hollywood werewolf, instead of only morphing during full moons, I can morph whenever I want. So, as the title suggests, this was my first Vampire Hunt.
Lazily, I shrugged out of my bed and went to my mirror in the smallest corner of the room. Through nearly closed eyes, I grimaced at the hair on my head and patted it back down. Then I stared at my hand... Fuzzy? What was going on, I wasn't going to understand anytime soon.
I looked at my other hand, it was fuzzy as well. And what? Were those claws? I stabbed a finger at my mirror and it shattered until the slicing pressure of the claw. Without a clue of what happened to me, I took a long look at my face. It too, was fuzzy. I shuddered when I looked down at my legs and feet. Hairy! Wasn't this s**t only supposed to happen to boys? And not girls? I certainly had never heard of a girl with hair problems...
With my huge and hairy body, I drifted over to the computer and Googled: Werewolf.
Sure enough, that's what I was. My eyes narrowed at the results which promised my being a wolf. I held my snout in one hand and tried to yank it off. Damn, so it was real. I was an actual werewolf. Well, how the hell do I turn back?!
My eyes took hold of the clock on the wall. School would soon be in session and I'd miss it if I didn't hurry. I continued reviewing the search results for how to turn back. They all said that it'd only be after the full moon was over. I tossed my head indignantly and stared out the window.
Standing up, I hopped to it. I opened it and removed the frame. Racing across the landscape, my eyes found no human presence. From the second story window, I leapt out and onto the driveway and hit the ground running, on all fours.
I dived for the trees, into their safe cover until I returned to my former state. It was unbelievable that such things could happen, I thought, as I ran past the trees in a hurry.
How fast was I going? 20 MPH? 30 MPH? No, much more than that. The trees went by me in a blur as I lunged down a cliff. My large paws thudded onto the ground and my head lurched up to see a dark figure standing in the shelter of a cave.
Cautiously, I padded over to the entrance of the cave and stood silently. One moment I was looking into the cave and the next moment there were hands gripping my thick throat. Whatever was holding me pressed it's finger tips into my skin burying it until spurts of blood erupted.
I cried out in agony and threw myself forward, sending the figure flying. No sooner than I had thrown it, had it returned face to face with me. Through bared teeth, the human like figure snarled at me and kicked up to my stomach. I was lifted into the air and thrown the distance of several trees.
My impact left a ditch where I quickly leapt to my feet and surveyed the surrounding area. Whoever, whatever that was, it didn't like me, but I knew I could not fight it. I was a "new" werewolf and had no knowledge of such circumstances nor of how to fight such a monster like creation.
I shook the dirt out of my fur and snorted. Then the sun disappeared and the figure reappeared in it's place and pinned me to the ground. "Dumb werewolf! You cannot defeat me!" He spat into my face, "You will die right here and right now!"
The thing lifted a powerful hand into the air and brought it down on my chest with thundering effort. I squirmed underneath him and finally returned the attack. My, much larger, hand knocked him away and I stared at him in dismay as he recoiled.
Red eyes, long black cloak, fangs, superior power... A vampire!
He glared at me and launched himself once more. I tried to step aside, but he shifted in mid air and took me back down to the ground, "What's happening?! Who are you?! What do you want?!" I screeched at him.
"You are a werewolf! You must die!!"
I struggled against his iron grip, "But what and who are you?! Just tell me that."
His expression lightened up slightly, but then fell back into it's dark misery, "Do you truly understand nothing about what you are? I am a vampire! And it is my duty to exterminate you. I am Caius of the Volturi."
Wait a minute... Hadn't I read about this guy somewhere? That's right! In the book "Twilight" this guy existed. Was he for real?
My head craned up and bashed into his. He fell back dazed.
My legs picked me up and dashed off and away. From a little ways off, I could hear Caius groaning about his lost catch. Panting, I made my get away. Where I was going, I did not know. I wiped my sweating forehead of a wolf onto my arm which was propelling me across the land.
I thought back to that fight where almost all my actions were futile. He could've killed me had I given him half a chance. I wasn't ready for a fight, not for a very long time...
