See Through My Eyes
~Try to understand, don't want to lose what we have.~
Sharing Of Knowledge: Part 1
In the world around me life isn't what you might be used to. Some things are the same, I will admit that, but a lot is different. Especially in the inhabitants found all over the place. Which is what I shall be telling you about today in the sharing of knowledge. We'll start with the Humans.

Humans: Humans are, by our definition, non-furred bipedal beings. They share a lot of characteristics with the furs, anatomy mostly, though their faces are structured different. Their senses, while decent, are second rate compared to ours and their sexual promiscuity is quite different as well. While they come in different shapes, sizes and colors, humans have been classified into two categories: Hunters and Fluffs.
*Hunters: Hunters are exactly as they are called. Hunters. They dislike the race called Furs, thinking them to be an abomination against their lord. That's their only reason... While silly, it is their belief and there's not much we can do about it. Some of them have allowed treaties and other deals where in as long as the furs do not start trouble, neither will they. Most of them abide by this rule, but there are some who don't. Such is the case in any sort of socialization, I'm sure.
*Fluffs: Humans who live amongst furs, love them, what have you. They mostly live amongst the highborn, though there are a few who live amongst the kin in the wild. But that is a rare sight and mostly seen where there is no highborn civilization. The Hunters despise them, hating them for being able to look past the fact they are "abominations" and living with them. Because of this the Hunters have come to call them Fur Lovers.

It's sad to see that there is such hate, even between members of the same race. And I wish I could say that my race, the Furs, are examples how a race should get a long. But sadly that is not the case. Intoleration can truly be found every where, and the world would be a better place if we could all just get along. Hopeful wishing aside, time to discuss the Furs.

Furs: Animals with human characteristics. Over the years the furs had evolved to stand as a human does, though we think this may be cause due to mating between a human and an animal, but no one seems to know for sure (and none of us really ask anymore). We have the same anatomical structure as the humans do, we've even moved to bi-pedal walking- though we still carry the ability to crawl as our ancestors did. Differences include fur (scales, feathers, etc.), a trait we've seemed to keep despite our evolution towards "humanity"; paws for feet, hands similar to a humans but with pads on them for grip, facial structure, and the changes in sexual promiscuity. Like the humans, we have been classified into two different categories: Highborn and Kin.
*Highborn: Furs with an evolved lifestyle. Gone are the days of hunting and foraging, having to make due with what Mother Nature gave us. Highborn now lie with technology, the advancements of taking what we had once been given and making it better. No longer must we sleep when the moon rises, but now we have electricity, schooling, medicine that doesn't simply involve herbs and plants. But it has also change how we view others, and not always in the best of light. We find ourselves despising the hunters as they despise us, only because they are different. We also find ourselves hating those furs who refuse to accept technology and the changing of the world, we think ourselves better then them, higher then them... Which is how we had become known as the highborn.
*Kin: Furs who refuse to accept the changing of the world and prefer to live as our ancestors did. They enjoy the freedom not living in cities gives them, roughing it as some have called it. While not all kin hate the highborn, they find themselves caring less and less for them, as they are looked down upon for living the old way, living ferally. Highborns have come to use the name "Feral" for them.

Now that doesn't mean there aren't highborns who don't live close to the way kins do. In face, monks are the closest highborns will get to communing with Mother Nature. Priests and priestesses follow behind, though it is mostly around the time of training, purification and how their magic is used. Magic is not usually found in those not in the religious fields, though there are the occasional few.
Healers also have a type of magic, though it is intune with nature, and they use it in their potions, medicines and healing salves, most of which comes from plants and herbs. Healers are also another class that are closest to the kin. But that doesn't mean magic is reserved only for highborns. The kin have their own magic, though not quite as common among their race as the highborns. Those kin born with magic usually grow up to become shaman of their pack. I'm not quite certain how many shaman can be found in a pack, I have yet to meet a kin to find out, but I some how doubt there are quite as many shaman as their are priests and monks.

Okay, that should just about do it for the races. Please do check back for more another day, as I am sure to have more knowledge to share with you another day.
