PROLOGUE - DREAM WALKING

The smell of blood hung in the air so heavy she could feel it. There were no bodies, no bloodstains, nothing to show signs of violence; there was just emptiness. Empty homes and empty streets, the teenage girl was the only person in sight. She walked along the street and watched for any signs of life curious if maybe there would be a survivor would appear or maybe a band of rescuers would appear and find where everyone had gone.
THIS IS NOT YOUR PLACE. IT IS NOT TIME FOR YOU TO COME.
The girl stopped and looked around. The voice seemed to be a whisper in her head, but yet also a shout that echoed throughout the buildings. She waited a moment and then shrugged. She continued down the street. After all, this was just another vision to her, no one here would even be aware of her presence.
WAKE UP YOUNG ONE. IT IS NOT TIME FOR YOU TO WITNESS.
“Witness what?” She asked feeling stupid. “Nothing can hurt me here, I’m just an observer.” She answered back.
WAKE UP, YOU MUST WAKE UP.
The girl sighed; she couldn’t just escape her visions even if she wanted to. Suddenly an aura shot through the streets, filling the village. The girl shuddered as the dark, evil aura seemed to fill her very soul. “Okay I want to wake up now.” She whispered, not sure if she was talking to herself or the voice, “I want to wake up in my nice cozy bed.”
“What is this, a child from the other world? It is just as he said it would happen.” The girl slowly turned, feeling the aura grow stronger as she looked toward the new voice. A figured stood shrouded in the shadows. “I guess it is time once again. However, unfortunately you will not see the transition.” The girl couldn’t move as she watched a scythe appear and swing down right at her.
So is he death? She wondered.
WAKE UP!
Ellie woke up.

Background:
This story is about eight youngers who get transported into another world due to a reason that I haven't come up with yet sweatdrop . Ellie is the main character and controls the element of Darkness. I'm still not sure how to start chapter one but I do have some other parts of the story written that I may post later.
