The sounds of the screaming. The smell of sweat. You could barely hear the cheerleaders cheer. You could taste that dry spit in your mouth. You could even hear the ground vibrate a little because of the player's feet running as fast and hard as they can to the other side.
Oh yes that wonderful feel of a football game.
"GREG! GO GO GO! YOU CAN DO IT! COME ON! ONLY 10 MORE FEET! YOU GIRL DO IT! NO NO NO! SAM GET OUT THE WAY! COME ON GREG! A LITTLE MORE AND YOUR ALMOST THER---TOUCH DOWN!!"
Oh yes that wonderful scream coming from Coach Carson big mouth.
Coach Carson likes being called Coach because Carson reminds him of cheese. Don't ask why but he thinks one day cheese will come alive and eat him. And I'm still waiting for that day to come. Coach's favorite is Greg. He doesn't like Brad. Just Greg. The others are apparently invisible to him.
The game was over.
"Good game Greg, good game."
"Thanks Coach, I wouldn't have done it without you!" He added a cheesy wink.
"What a suck-up." said Sam as he followed Brad and Greg.
