Let's think of the wavering millions...
Who need leading but get gamblers instead...
God, this sucks, and some new information.

Well, the computer died about three weeks ago (July 6) and it took so long to fix. It spent 3 weeks at Best Buy being fixed. Then, they had to replace the fan in it because it kept making a humming sound so that delayed it a little more. We got it back on Monday and now I can fully work it again. I was bored for a long time, until I found a comfortable place with the radio.

Also on this, I missed a lot of news (I missed the Stones the most) and I found some interesting (and weird) news.

First, 'Ladies and Gentlemen' will be released in October, on the 19. It's going to be, like, 10 dollars and some odd cents. Dude, I got super ecstatic about that. Finally, something within my price lane. At least now I won't pretty much starve from the lack of money from it..

Also, I just realized how Paul McCartney is full of himself (not to mention he came to Nashville, but I didn't care, I live, like, 45 minutes away from there). Too bad he and his fans are oblivious to that.

There is also a tour that might be going on. This is awesome, but I have little money.

Now, here's a fic. I did a 10 song challenge. I opened up a list of my favorite songs and put them on a shuffle selection. I chose the first 10 songs that appeared. So here it is.

Title: 10 Song Challenge (aka: The Days of Our Lives)
Pairing: Keith/Mick
Rating: PG - R

Disclaimer: This is for my pure amusement; it's not real, but some is based upon true events.

“If I Was A Dancer (p. 2)” by the Rolling Stones

The mass of bodies danced and writhed against each other, looking like a large mass. Appendages grinned. It could easily suck a person into it; but if they couldn’t find the right rhythm, it easily cast them aside. But it couldn’t beckon the man who sat in the chair to the side.

Keith watched, but didn’t move. Nothing caught his attention; but then, a dancer emerged from the crowd. Mick nearly twirled out. He looked like he was flying; his eyes were wide and bright.

Mick came and grasped his wrist. “Come Keith,” he said childishly. “Come play with me; come dance!”

It was at that moment that Keith did. Mick’s voice was high pitched and childish. He couldn’t resist. He soon entwined himself with Mick to perform this age old gypsy dance.

“Don’t Come Around Here No More” by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

Gram sat in the kitchen, occasionally sipping on his lukewarm coffee. The late morning sun was filtering through the blinds. His eyes drifted around and then to the next room. He’d been watching Mick and Keith write for a while. His eyes stayed on Mick mostly.

Gram wondered what he did to make the older one so upset. He gave Gram scathing glares, snaky comments, unhappy looks, ignoring him. He was so put off by this. Many times, Gram tried to befriend him, but Mick flat out refused. No matter how hard he tried, it was rejected. Mick was welcomed, but not vice versa,

He had a feeling that Mick didn’t want him around anymore.

“Sorrow” by David Bowie

An arm was lazily strung around his shoulders, acting like an anchor. Another hand was furrowing through his scalp. Mick slowly sank down more into David’s lap but felt the arm tighten. Mick felt light, hazy, buzzed, good, regretful. He had fallen… he had fallen hard for David.

(But what about Keith?)

It was then that Mick realized maybe he was getting too deep into this. He wasn’t sure which was worse: Keith finding out or breaking David’s heart.

“Over My Head (Cable Car)” by The Fray

Delicate plumes of lazy smoke curled from Keith’s sagging cigarette. His brown eyes were steadfast ahead of him. He studied Mick: he looked so overworked. So tired and it was a sad sight. It nearly shattered Keith’s heart.

Keith lightly cleared his throat. “You need to break Mick. Just, please, take a break.” Mick’s fingers broke their mechanical rhythm. Keith wasn’t sure whether it was good or not. He took slow steps towards Mick and delicately placed his arms around Mick’s shoulders. They were tense.

“You can’t block it out; Marianne needs ya.” Mick and Marianne lost their baby and now, they’ve just fallen to pieces. Keith hoped to whatever was out there, that this wouldn’t become Mick’s undoing.

“Mercedes Benz” by Janis Joplin

It was scratchy, slightly raw, husky, yet sweet. It was odd, her voice. Mick smiled; it reminded him of a certain pretty blond haired singer. They could both have a duet, and people might not be able to tell them apart. Mick chuckled.

“What are you smiling’ about?”

“That chick on the radio could duet with Marianne.”

“Speaking of her, you should go visit her,” Keith said.

Mick leaned back into Keith’s lap. “ Yeah, I should. We’re getting ready to go to Rome.”

“Soul Kitchen” by The Doors

Warm, breezy summer days were everyday. The heat of California was perfect and comfortable. Keith watched as people drifted by their balcony. ‘Flower Power’ was all the rage right now; people painted flowers on their lovers chest and put flowers in their hair; the fashionable hippie garb.

“I don’t get this ‘flower’ stuff,” Keith stated.

Mick laughed beside him. “Oh, come off it. You know you like it.” As he said that, he was finger painting a flower on Keith’s exposed torso. “What’s better then being with the one you love?”

“Cut the hippie crap.”

“Only for you Keith.”

“Best Of My Love” by the Eagles

Keith’s eyes slowly peeled open and he gazed through blurry vision. He slowly sat up, feeling places pop and crack (and some he didn’t know that existed). Slowly, he stretched his arms out like a cat. Keith’s hazy eyes then looked over to his side.

He saw Mick. He was sleeping and leaned against the couch. Keith inwardly smiled. Mick stayed up all night for him after bringing him home from another smack den. Mick tried so hard to keep Keith out of there, but Keith went back. Mick loved him and was willing to give him anything.

In the back of Keith’s mind, Mick was his true companion.

“Love In An Elevator” by Aerosmith

The man sighed to himself. He ran a hand through his short hair and checked his watch. It had been about 20 or so minutes since the elevator had gone down. He couldn’t take the stairs since they were having some work done on them by the hotel. It had been a long day at work and he just wanted to settle down and relax, but he couldn’t since the elevator was stopped.

Just as soon as he had given up waiting, the elevator began to move. When it opened, two individuals rushed out of there. They looked messy and unkempt. He recognized them from the local magazine and that they were from that band the Rolling Stones. He then believed the stories bout them being dirty and no sense of decency.

But that still didn’t explain why the elevator stopped. Or why it had such a weird smell to it.

“Bell Bottom Blues” by Derek and the Dominoes

“I didn’t really mean it; it was just apart of the movie.”

“Then why’d you do it?” Keith spat. “You didn’t have to.” Keith stared at Mick, hatred smoldering in his eyes. He was pissed; Mick and Anita had pretty much ******** on camera. It drove Keith to insanity to hear that his Anita was sleeping with his friend. His best mate!

“Please Keith,” Mick pleaded, “I’m sorry! You’ve got to believe me.”

Keith sighed and turned his head to the side. He really wanted to believe Mick. It was rare that Mick made an apology and meant it. Even more if it was about a woman. Just maybe this one time, he could forgive him.

“For What It's Worth” by Buffalo Springfield

“That is so immature Keith.”

Keith glanced at Mick, whose arms were crossed. He shrugged his shoulders and Mick just shook his head. Keith stood back after surveying the lock on the door. Then, with his final ingredient, added his sign that had bold, capitol letters: ‘NO STEPHEN STILLS ALLOWED‘.

“What do you have against him? He’s not done anything’ to you.”

Keith shrugged again. Just the thought of that insufferable man touching his guitar sent a shudder of disgust through his body, and he tried to shake it off.

“This is like a slumber party, except without the ‘No Girls Allowed’ sign,” Mick said, still shaking his head. Keith just shrugged again.

There they are. I like them and I will end up churning out some more stories and hopefully, I will be getting them done faster. It will be awesome if I do I'll have another one up before the end of the day (hopefully.

I think I've gotten another eye infection. It's in the same eye as before and it sucks.

No music. The TV is on. I've been thinking about watching "Hey Negrita" by the Rolling Stones again.
