Transformation
Naruto
Thick, unnatural mist surrounded a young blonde genin, mirroring the shock and confusion he felt inside. He sat on his knees holding himself up his hands supporting his suddenly immense weight on either side of his body. He panted, struggling for breath, his eyes locked on the pale, bloody face of his team mate. As reality sunk in his eyes began to water.
Sasuke was dead.
He had died protecting Naruto in his moment of weakness. Silent drops fell onto Sasuke's dead face.
"Why do you always have to come to the rescue?" Naruto was barely able to choke out the words, grief tightening his chest and throught. "... I didn't ask for your help..."
The masked boy, Haku, watched as the sun-kissed child mourned, cold sympathy is his unseen expression. The tears became hot and stung Naruto's cheeks as his sorrow turned to spite. His greif and anger rose until his small body could contain his pent up emotions no longer, and he howled his lament and frustration. The crisp morning air became tense and omonous. It grew warmer as the air about the genin began to swirl around him, glowing red- orange.
Innocent sky-blue eyes adopted an evil hue, demonstrating his bloodlust. Naruto gave a feral cry revealing white fanged teeth. Claws took the place of human fingernails, and the boys entire demeanor morphed into something... wild...
Snarling with rage he spun on all fours locking his gaze on Haku. Haku was touched with fear at the sudden mindless ferocity in the young genins clouded crimson eyes. With terrifying speed he leapt at Haku. The ANBU barely had time to dodge, the empty mirror shattered when Naruto's fist mer ice. Haku was shocked by Naruto's sudden speed and power. Before he had time to calculate a stategy Naruto's enraged face apeated before him and pain burst in the ANBU's cheek. The genin's punch blasted through the ice and sent Haku flying.
Naruto raced after him, intent on his prey. Haku didn't have time to struggle, for in an instant fangs latched on to his throught and without hesitation Naruto ripped it from the ANBU's body. Heartlessly he spit the dead Haku from his mouth, blood soaked his clothes and ran down his chin. But Naruto didn't seem to notice. Sasuke's murderer destroyed, the fox withdrew from Naruto leaving the boy to weep in solitude. He could feel nothing but heavy emptiness and despair. Tears returned to wet his cheeks as he stroked Sasuke's cold face. The only word that could leave his lips was garbled and hardly audible, but he said it anyway... over and over again...
"Why?"
So there ya go. Wrote it a while ago but I just now got around to posting it. Hope ya liked it. Reveiw please!
