I posted this a couple weeks ago. It's my take on the Civil War storyline that going on in Marvel comics right now. I thought it would make a nice entry. Enjoy
I'm with Captain America. But that doesn't mean that I totally disagree hero registration. If you really think about it, things have always been this way.
Teams that are respected in the public eye like The Fantastic Four and The Avengers either have public identities or have their identities on record for accountability as well as other reasons.
Other teams and heroes like the X-Men and Spider-Man have been branded as outlaws, and sometimes been met with fear and prejudice. Despite how many times they have saved lives, the planet, the galaxy, etc. like others.
It's just now with the forced registration, things are pushed to the extreme. Technically it would be illegal to use your powers to pull someone from a burning building, or help the police stop a robbery against someone they couldn't stop alone. Unless you registered.
Like every idea there's good and bad. And I think that the whole idea of hero registration was not thought out thoroughly enough, and was pushed way too quickly. They went about it the wrong way.
I saw Iron Man who I once considered to be a great hero turn into a manipulator.
I've seen people who were once friends and allies, who were as close as brothers forced to take sides and fight each other. When they should have come together and found a solution.
I've seen Captain America become an outlaw, and men like the Green Goblin and Bullseye are now called heroes.
Honestly if you ask me, this whole thing sounds like a huge plot by some super villain to break the heroes apart. Think about it, with all the heroes either fighting each other, on the run, or locked away in the negative zone, what better time for a massive strike?
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see someone like the Red Skull, Loki, or Kang behind this whole mess, pulling the strings.

Well this is my journal, sometimes I'll feel like writing in it, some times I won't. And I may not always be in the best mood when I write. But this is giving me a place to vent, so I may come here a lot.

You need but to look within yourselves to find the people you need to keep this nation strong... and, God willing, to help make the dream come true.
