Where the sun goes down
It'll be night soon
I welcome you all
To the the mind of the moon

I'm a bit crazy
As most people will say
I'm not the brightest in the dark
But i can still light the way

I'm a lone on most days
Only clouds as my friends
Hide me from people who stare
over and over again

I have many faces
I can change my shape too
I go based on
My feelings with you

And when daylight comes
I retreat back to the stars
Waiting for the sky once again
To hold me in its arms

Eternal moonlight in my mind
Shining brightest of all
For all the moons out there
No matter how big or how small.
