Human~
Thus far the former United States of America seems no different than how my brother and I left it when we were captured. It remains a charred, dry and dead wasteland. My navigational equipment is obviously unrefined and glitchy so I ultimately have little clue to where exactly I am. Shadow and I made it a point to avoid coming this far east, as to avoic the eyes of the government and as a result I have sparse knowledge of the terrain and landmarks on this side of the continent. I do however know that I am heading northwest. That is the direction that I believe Shadow would go provided that he is alive and free.
This body does not need to eat, drink or rest and can move at incredible speeds for prolonged periods of time. This gives me hope that it will not be long before I return to familiar lands and contanct Shadow. However, the mechanical and synthetic nature of this body will most likely need some form of maintenece and repair eventualy. Perhaps I should prioritize tracking down a mechanic.
I can't tell if what little seemingly organic tissue left on my form is actually synthetic.I want to believe that what is left is really me, but there is no warmth or softness or color to any of it. The dregs of my old body are as cold and dead as the landscape. I have to wonder if I can truly consider myself a human being any longer.
