...It wasn't until later that we discovered Mushka had contracted the illness as well. Unlike Ryu's symptoms, Mushka was able to fend off most of the disease by keeping on his toes.

A few months later and it was Christmas. I had forgotten to notify the Secret Santa Guild that I’d be out of town on a business trip. Having been inactive for the event, I was eventually dismissed. I didn’t get to spend Christmas or New Year at Barton, my parents had asked me to go home for the holidays that year. A lot of things happened back at my parent’s place. I received a lot of projects and a lot of party invites… Barton had to wait a while before my return.

I came back to town just after April Fool's. The talk on the town was about Ian’s run-in with the resurrected Gambino. I didn’t pay much attention to it until a large flash of light suddenly filled the sky. I asked Old Man Logan about it when I went fishing. He didn’t know either, but we were sure there’d be news about it from Cindy.

I felt silly going straight to fishing instead of going home when I first came back to town. It actually took a while for me to get back to my house. For a brief moment, our area had been blocked off for some reason. When I finally got home the cardboard box and lamp where still there, along with a new layer of dust. I figured since I was gonna clean up, I may as well do some shopping afterwards.

After expelling the dust from my home and selling the wilting cardboard box, I noticed a delivery van parked by my house. When I asked what was going on, the delivery guy said that the town mayors over at GM-Hall were giving out furniture sets to everyone as a welcome to the new comers. They even gave out casual clothes and newsletters. After dropping off their cargo, I invited the delivery guys to a quick snack inside my house. I had just been to the market and bought some drinks and food. I was more than happy to share; you could tell these guys had been working all week long so I figured a nice break would be a good way to thank them.
