Punk is NOT a fashion.
It's not some cute little thing some designer invented recently so that girls can look edgier.
It's something real. It has heart and meaning. It's music. It was a movement, something to show that you felt lost and angry about the way things were and people had become.
And if the leaders hadn't sold out, they would see that something they worked to create is now being packaged and sold at Hot Topic so some dumb 13 year old can buy it and not give a rat's a** what it means.
Go ahead, give your money to the system to buy something supposedly proving you're against it.
But all us real punks can tear up own own shirts, thank you very much.
