On the 17th of this month, i had a tooth removed, as my friends probably know.
Well after returning from the dentist, i noticed my skin was on fire, i started to get feverish, disorientated and an ambulance was called. After about 5 hours in the ED i was transferred to a ward.
As Some will know and others may not, i have struggled my entire adult life with Psoriasis and that Psoriasis IS a deadly disease. It has almost robbed my of my life 5 times in the last 4 years. This has left me seriously disfigured and my quality of life will never be what it once could have been.
So what happened to me? My skin bubbled up with puss and fluid and started to fall off. My heart strained and came close to bursting, essentially. From the top of my head to the bottoms for my feet covered in blisters and pus, every moment was agonising pain. I could not move, i could not walk, i could not eat nor drink.
my family were told that this could be the end of me and that if things did not start to improve that plans for my funeral should be made.
Luckily, government funding and permission came through for me and the be all and end all medication that will save my life. If this medication fails to continue to work, then there will be no hope for me to live a slightly normal life until science catches up.
The medication i am talking about is this one here. It is expensive and calls for me injecting myself twice a week and to be immuno suppressed for the rest of my life.
I would like to thank everyone for caring and being there for me. It is a rough time for me and my family it will be a long road to recovery and if you want updates on my condition please let me know.
- much love Sharee
