I grew up with both parents until I was nine. Then, my dad moved out. My mom had some crazy kind of mental illness. Never diagnosed, though. From ages 12 to 15 I didn't speak to my dad at all. Then, I moved in with him the first day I saw him again. He was remarried to a woman he had known for three months. She was nice at first, but quickly dropped the facade and made it her priority to tear my father and I apart. My mom apparently, according to a few psychologists I've described her to, had BPD. But I think she was exhibiting signs of schizophrenia towards the end. (Died a few years ago.) She was the type to try and terrify you into complete obedience and loyalty. Basically. She never hit me much or anything though. And the story with my dad and I has concluded horribly. He is remarried to the same horrible woman and has gone off the deep end. He forfeited his entire personality and has put on hers instead. And she isn't a very decent person. Frankly, I would feel no regret in never speaking to him again.

I ran away from home in an attempt at freedom to Sweden when I was 19. I married a Swedish boy I had known online for three years. We stayed married for an additional three years. I became a Jehovah's Witness and gave it up in that time as well.

Now I am living in the US again. I almost never leave the house. Finding support has been difficult.

That's sort of a summary of how I got here, at least.
