It was SO cool! Beck's hair is long and pretty again! 4laugh
So, I'll type this out when I get the time. Stay tuned! Or something.
Same bat time, same bat channel.
Edit: Okay, the opening guy was Jamie Lidell, and he was kinda like a one-man band person... he had a soundboard and a laptop, and he had sorta techno music that he messed with a lot... and had a really cool blues-y voice. It was neat.
Beck wore like a white shirt, and black vest and pants, and a green cowboy-ish hat. And the guy that always does weird robot-like dances wore a suit without the jacket. And one guy had big poofy hair and a brown plaid suit.
In the back of the stage, there was a little mini-stage structure where they had a puppet-show version of what was going on on the stage, shown on the screen on the back of the real stage. All the puppets were wearing all the same things, and when Beck took off his hat, the puppet took off his hat. The mini-screen on the mini-stage portrayed what the big screen showed, and it created a going on forever effect.
They apologized in advance for the puppets' actions, and the puppets did a lot of handstands.
Of what I remember, Beck played Hell Yes, Black Tambourine, Que Onda Guero, Girl, E-Pro, some other Guero and Guerolito stuff, Devil's Haircut, and Where It's At. In my favorite line of Where It's At, "That was a good drum break," I jumped up and down eleven times (my lucky number) which must be extremely lucky.
There was a lot of random percussion, and Beck sounded pretty similar in concert. What he said between songs was pretty unintelligible, other than a few times he said "Atlanta" and some song names.
Then they brought out this big table (there was a puppet table too!) and they all brought food to it, and everyone, including Jamie Lidell, except Beck, ate at the table while Beck sang some slow song. Then the next song, which was some kind of rythmic song (maybe Hell Yes) they banged on the table and hit the plates and glasses together and it sounded pretty awesome. Then they drank some wine.
Then, the robot-dancing guy came out with a hardhat and signaled for this giant brown boombox to come down, and the brown checkered suit-guy came out with two small ones and we all screamed the lyrics to Where It's At. Then the boombox went back up.
Then, the band went offstage and waved goodbye.
Then this movie came on where the Beck puppets went to the Center For Puppetry Arts (where they entered the puppet storage, were chased by a dinosaur, and avoided some bees), the Varsity, and the Tabernacle itself, where Beck "spent some quiet time with his bodygaurd." (A toy robot.)
And then everybody came back, and two people were in bear suits. And then, on the puppet stage, there were two teddy bears. It was so cute! And when the "bears" kind of tackled the other band members, the puppeteers kind of just knocked the puppets over with the teddy bears. It was funny.
Then Beck sang another song, and then everybody really left.
And I bought a shirt of a girl with a bat kite, and some buttons.

Whoa. Nothing to do. But I got more moola on Itunes, so me is happy. And... I have to do some of that annoying stuff called homework that I'm putting off. And one of my friends is being an idiot and she's sposed to come to the concert with me. How fun. stare So, I guess I should buy more songs and update my music list on here. Tata!

Yeah... CARDS.
Okay. A simple little equation. 2-hour bus ride+friends=solution to boredom=card games. There are 5 of us who usually play. We play:
exclaim Gin Rummy arrow arrow Not much of a strategy here... I just... play. eek arrow arrow idea Win: About 1/5
exclaim Rummy arrow arrow Same. neutral arrow arrow idea Win: About 1/5 exclaim BS arrow arrow I basically put down extra cards on the bottom with the real cards so that when someone accuses me they take the cards, not knowing. wink And I otherwise cheat my way into winning very fast, and save my Joker for last. (If I get one) arrow arrow idea Win: About 4/5
exclaim Pay Your Neighbor/War arrow arrow These are similar, and obviously have no strategy. arrow arrow idea Win: About 2/5
exclaim Old Maid arrow arrow I choose the card in the middle. smile arrow arrow idea Win: I have never lost! whee
There are probably some other games we play, and when other people are busy, I play Solitare, which I usually don't screw up.
