Please End The Hate </3
((Words from the next section are from a online thing being spread about the Gay/Lesbian/Transsexual Communist. I thought I would touch base there and further the thought to more then just those few things. Call it over used or redundant. But it needs to be stated until something is done about it.))I am the girl kicked out of her home because I confided in my mother that I am a lesbian.I am the prostitute working the streets because nobody will hire a transsexual woman.I am the sister who holds her gay brother tight through the painful, tear-filled nights.We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.I am the man who died alone in the hospital because they would not let my partner of twenty-seven years into the room.I am the foster child who wakes up with nightmares of being taken away from the two fathers who are the only loving family I have ever had. I wish they could adopt me.I am one of the lucky ones, I guess. I survived the attack that left me in a coma for three weeks, and in another year I will probably be able to walk again.I am not one of the lucky ones. I killed myself just weeks before graduating high school. It was simply too much to bear.We are the couple who had the realtor hang up on us when she found out we wanted to rent a one-bedroom for two men.I am the person who never knows which bathroom I should use if I want to avoid getting the management called on me.I am the mother who is not allowed to even visit the children I bore, nursed, and raised. The court says I am an unfit mother because I now live with another woman.I am the domestic-violence survivor who found the support system grow suddenly cold and distant when they found out my abusive partner is also a woman.I am the domestic-violence survivor who has no support system to turn to because I am male.I am the father who has never hugged his son because I grew up afraid to show affection to other men.I am the home-economics teacher who always wanted to teach gym until someone told me that only lesbians do that.I am the man who died when the paramedics stopped treating me as soon as they realized I was transsexual.I am the person who feels guilty because I think I could be a much better person if I did not have to always deal with society hating me.I am the man who stopped attending church, not because I don't believe, but because they closed their doors to my kind.I am the person who has to hide what this world needs most, love.I am the person who is afraid of telling his loving Christian parents he loves another male.Yes most of these are Gay/ lesbian/ Transexual Oriented. HOWEVER These situations can be switched for anything. Such as the first one, it can be switched with-" I am the boy kicked out of his home because I confided in my mother that I am dating a (insert race OR Religion of choice) Girl.I knew someone who was kicked out of his mothers place simply because his girlfriend was Muslim. A BORN AMERICAN, but a Muslim. I've known parents to have disowned their children for as little as there partner having lighter AND darker skin.Well okay, not all are family/ gay/ transexual oriented.
What about this one? I am sure at least 60% of anyone who reads this will have had this situation in there school...We are the parents who buried our daughter long before her time.How many people knew of someone who killed themselves because they where bullied, constant steams of hate when they came in to school. I'm not talking about people who make themselves outcast by spreading rumors and making fun of people. I'm talking about those people who walked into school and EVERY day, someone had to mention that they where too poor or too fat or not like everyone in school, or simply because they happened to have a CRUSH on someones boyfriend.
What about the kid walking home from school or a friends house and got attacked simply because he was wearing a red shirt? Or was is the misfire of a gang shooting.
How many people know someone who died because they thought the only way to live was in a gang... And they died because of a fight.
How many times have you seen people hate over the internet? Is your opinion that right that you have to make people feel bad about their own? I say Nay, As long as you or me or anyone is not hurting any one/thing it is there right to do as they wish. If you don't like their words, move on. You don't like there picture? Too bad it's their right.
So a quick list of ways you can hurt someone
Physically razz unch; kick; stab; and NOT treating someone who is hurt is physical damage.
Mental: "It's Always Your Fault" "Your always WRONG" "Nothing you ever do is good enough" Just saying mean spiteful things in general.
Emotional: Ignoring Someone, or giving the cold shoulder; Rejecting them, making them an outcast; Exploiting or harassing; Terrorizing. Yes if YOU emotionally abuse someone YOU are a Terrorist. Think about that. You can be Green; Black; White; Red; Blue; FREAKING RAINBOW FLAVORED HUMAN POP... Don't matter.
I know most of my fellow Gaians are not like this. Most of you are pretty open, caring or the scared people talked about. I've only known a select few who have been... Less tasteful... Here on Gaia.
Also to people who are "Pro" one thing and someone disagrees... Your as bad as them when you harass them for having a different option. You can debate, but be adults over it.
