It is SO ******** cold in my room, I can't even feel my feet! As it stands, its taken them entirely too long to turn the heat on for the whole building, because apparently no matter how cold it is outside, you aren't allowed to heat the building until it is offically halfway into fall.
The good news is that where the heat vent is located, THAT section of the room is fairly comfortable. But of course, its located in the middle of the ceiling, near the door. Where I'm NOT located.

I went out and bought the new Pokemon game for the DS. It is muchly addictive, but I keep DYING! I wish I knew how to make my DS compatible with the wireless connection that my dorm has...

Appearance: Very short, and somewhat pudgy, at first glance Mason doesn't really look like the type of girl you'd expect to find on a pirate ship. She has fairly ordinary mud-green eyes, and long brown hair, usually frizzy with sea-damp air, which she keeps bound back in a low ponytail. Mason tends to dress in men's clothing, finding it more comfortable, and easier to work in than women's wear, and is rarely seen out of her tan pants, and dark green vest.
Personality: While she'd rather be reading or sleeping than hauling in an anchor, Mason isn't afraid of hard work. Her build doesn't really allow her to be fast on her feet, but her sharp tongue and quick mind make up for it in many ways. All but her closest friends veiw Mason as a coldhearted wench, and she's certainly up to playing the part.
History: Mason grew up in a fairly normal merchant-class house, the eldest of eight children. Origionally born 'Madison', it wasn't long before she came arcross journals of her father's exploits at sea as a trader. She devoured these books, and got the idea to disguise herself as a man to live the excititing life she'd read about her entire life. On the eve of her 18th birthday, she set her favorite hiding place on fire - the family's barn. Taking her for dead, her family mourned while Madison - now Mason, left town in search of adventure.

Quests are a double edged sword.
On the one hand, they give you a goal to focus on, a chance to meet new friends, and some spiffy new items.
On the other, they make you realize just how poor you are. They also take up alot of time, and make you feel like you're NEVER going to get anthing done.
And on the other hand, oh wait, humans only have two hands, and swords only have two edges... Nevermind then.

I found out about a promotion by a pattern company to win a thousand bucks by sewing a prom dress, AND, since I was planning on doing it anyway, I went out and got the fabric today. I spent about thirty five dollars in total. Twenty five for the fabric and ten for the pattern. The lady at the counter summed up my reaction exactly - "A twenty five dollar prom dress - Can't beat that!"
Now all I need is a date
