For the following story, I have changed the names of the people to names of fruit in order to keep it anonymous. :<
This also happened partially in person and partially through IM.

Oookay, so from my best friend, Tomato (I argue that it IS a fruit!) I heard that Apple maybe kissed Pear, and she told me not to tell anyone. Note: when she said this, she said that MAYBE Apple did, and was not totally sure. Tomato didn't say it as a fact.
So, last night, I asked Apple if he did kiss Pear and he said no. But then I just teased him a little and he kept asking where I heard it from.
I don't break promises to anyone, and even if I wanted to tell Apple who I heard it from I wouldn't.
Now Grapefruit, one of my friends, heard from Apple in an IM about all this, so she asked me about it all. She asked 'who told you this?!' and demanded that I HAD to tell because it was IMPORTANT.
I told her I couldn't and that it wasn't hurting anyone but Apple, and it wasn't even bad for him because only me and another person thought of this.
Grapefruit said that it was still a rumor and that I had to tell her who said this in the first place. I just ignored her because I couldn't do anything else.
Apple and I were still friends, and he (acted?) like he was okay with it all. He (acted?) like he didn't really care after I told him that it was only a rumor.
The next day!
Today at school Tomato approached me about all this, and I said that I'd take the blame for her and never use her name. She said that it'd all probably pass quickly.

Later at school when I walked out of the classroom with Tomato, Grapefruit saw us and started talking to her. She completely ignored me and it was really annoying because she was talking to the exact person she was trying to find.
I tried to say hi to her but she only said 'I'm not talking to you'.
How annoying. I feel half angry, half sad, and half uncaring. I'm officially 3/2 of a person o____O;;

Honestly I'd rather keep it a secret from Grapefruit, than to rat Tomato out and have her hate me.
