Physical Description: Tai is about 5'9" tall, with spiky raven hair with dark crimson streaks in it. He wears a black vest over his dark red t-shirt, and has a pair of red-tint shades that cover his brught green eyes.
Background: Tai has been living on his own with his Dratini for the past four years. His parents were onboard a cruise ship when it capsized, and both his mother and father were killed. The circumstances surrounding the accident are suspicious at best.
Tai was only ten years old at the time. He was almost immediately put in an orphanage in Fuschia City, where he was beaten regularly by the staff there. One partiularly rainy day, Tai was hiding outside from the staff who were supposed to be "supervising" him, when he found a small gap under the fence around the oprhanage, and escaped. He ran as far as he could, until he found himself at the gates to the Safari Zone. Sneaking in, he sought refuge in one of the trees inside the preserve. A few days later, he found a young Dratini being attacked by some of the other pokemon in the area. He threw rocks and whatever he could find at the attackers, and drove them off. The Dratini he had saved that he day has been with him ever since. They are inseperable.
Tai harbours an intense distrust of adults due to treatment he recieved at the orphanage. However, he is very good with young children, demonstrating the softer side of his normally rough personality, a side usually only shown to his Dratini. Tai is an extremely determined individual, and usually refuses to accept help from others.

Name: Katrina, more commonly known as Kat

Description: Kat has unruly black hair that defies almost all atempts to control it. She can barely manage to contain it under a red cap with a yellow isignia on it, but whenever she takes off her cap she has hat hair. >< Katrina's somewhere between medium and tall for her age, and her skin is pretty tanned. A red jacket matches the color of her cap perfectly, and her black tee and shorts are exactly the same color. Her mud-splattered white sneakers and brown socks indicate that she's been very active outside.
Background: Ever since Kat was a young girl, she had wanted to be a Pokemon trainer. Her parents encouraged her to pursue this dream, and Kat spent much of her time playing with other children's Pokemon and dreaming of the day when she would finally set out on her journey. However, when Kat was ten years old, her parents went missing while she was out playing. The house showed every sign of a Rocket attack, and this event planted a hatred for Team Rocket in the orphaned Kat.
Starting Pokemon: After the disappearance of her parents, Kat left town to escape the consoling glances and pity that she now received from many of her neighbors. She escaped to Route 24, hoping to find peace among the Pokemon. After a few hours of being out in the wild, Kat glimpsed an Abra. Since Abras were quite a rare sight, Kat stared in fascination and eventually ventured to touch the Psychic Pokemon. The Abra teleported away, but Kat searched for and found it so many times that she finally managed to convince the Abra that she wasn't a threat. The Abra finally stopped teleporting from her, and a friendship was formed. Kat was finally able to venture back into the city again, with the knowledge that through a mental bond that had formed through their friendship, Aria (as she had nicknamed the Abra) was never far. The bond was a strange thing - each could sense the other's emotions if they were conscious. But that was it; they couldn't speak in words to each other or read the other's exact thoughts. Now older, Kat has set out on her Pokemon journey with who else but Aria.

Background: Ever since he was ten, Hoshi wanted to be a Pokemon Trainer, but his father forebode it. Day after day, he would sit in his room after school and talk to his imaginary Pokemon, which was a Vulpix. When he was thirteen, his father passed away of illness, and his mother was told (by the father's last will and testament papers) not to let Hoshi train for at least a year after he passed. Now, at the one year anniversary of his father's death, Hoshi has been given a Vulpix by his mother, which she found on Route 7, nearby his hometown, Celadon City.

Physical Description:
Eyes: Laurine has large almond shaped eyes, the edges dipping at the corner, the look added to by the thick lashes of ebony that surround her eyes. The colour of her iris is a smooth woodsy sienna, with a burst of a golden-green around the pupil.
Hair: Almost saturated black coffee brown hair crowns Laurine's cranium, hints of other shades of brown lurk within the darker locks yet are rarely seen unless it is a warm sunny day. Her hair is styled in a very masculine fashion, and sits atop of her head usually sticking up wildly as if she does not comb it when she rolls out of bed. Which usually is the case.
Height: Five foot, one inch
Weight: Ninety-five pounds
Body Build: Laurine is a girl of pixie like stature. Twig like in build she lacks most feminine curves, and is rather flat on all sides save a few planes. Arms are disproportional to the rest of her form, and are long and bony. Legs on the other hand are the right size for her petite figure, and are well shaped in the calves from years of running. Laurine's stomach is flat from working out to keep herself in top shape for running cross country, yet not in such away that it shows muscles, just lacks most flab except for a bit of baby fat around the top of her hips. Breasts are almost nonexistent, and her stomach almost runs into her chest except for the fact she has a very bony ribcage which sticks out. Her neck is long, and slender, and runs up to meet a very squared jaw, and stubborn chin. The rest of her face is all curves, and planes, high cheekbones, a petite button nose, a sloping forehead, and arching eyebrows.
Background: Laurine was born into an "artistic" family in Celadon, her mother quite well known for her photography of wild pokemon. As a child Laurine was reared with a love of pokemon, and of art, though she was more drawn to the medium of drawing paper, or a canvas rather then a camera. At the age of ten, the child had begun to venture from her mother's side, and wander the large city of Celadon alone, often she was found sitting within the town's small restruant mooching food off of one of her neighbors. By thirteen Laurine had even ventured outside of the city, where she found a pack of kits that a mother Persian had abandoned.. Most likely captured by some thoughtless trainer. Around her fourteenth birthday, the girl had raised them back to health, and they were on their way. Except for one. One, she would call Felia. Though Laurine never trained with Felia, the Meowth became her muse, and was a central component of her art work after that point. The small feline attempting to catch a Ratatta, or a Pidgey, or chasing a ball of yarn became drawings that filled her sketchbooks as a child.
Starting Pokemon: Meowth
Where Pokemon was aquired: Celadon, Laurine aquired her Meowth out of a pack of kittens that a wild Persian had abandoned. As a young adolescent, Laurine had a sweet disposition, and took the kittens in herself, and feed them until they were strong enough to go back out in the wild. Though one stayed behind, particularly attached the young girl. This Meowth she would name Felia.

Physical Description: She's rather small, or at least appears to be because she never stands with her full height. She has short, dark red hair that flips naturally, usually to the right, although she believes it has a mind of its own because it flips in other directions sometimes. Her eyes are usually hidden by her hair no matter what, however. She wears modest clothing, t-shirts of her favorite color and not-too-short skirts and typically a pair of beaten to death red Converse All Stars.
Background: Anika lived a quiet, sheltered life in Cerulean, mostly doing nothing but studying. Her incredibly shy and quiet nature prevented her from leaving the house or finding many friends, so she had nothing else to do -but- study, making her practically a walking pokemon encyclopedia. One day, her parents, who were worried about her untalkitive and friendless state, bought her an Oddish, and encouraged her to go on a Pokemon journey like all the other kids her age. Not wanting to disobey, she left the house to start her training.
Starting Pokemon: Oddish - rather wild tempered for a grass pokemon.
Where Pokemon was aquired: Parents bought it for her, though she's not sure where they got it.
