In this world of sadness, dispair, terror, death...
There is only one way I can survive...
Or anyone for that matter...
Hope you can find it...
Kekumi Azume

All seemed still except for the slight flapping of birds' wings. The sun hovered above casting precious light. A beautiful girl stood in the heart of the forest. Her perfectly set, grey eyes quickly darted around taking in every detail of the girl’s surroundings. Her eyes stood out like lighthouses at night as they complimented the light, creamy, almost pale complexion of the body which they belonged. The girl’s alert but calm expression was framed by straight silver hair pulled back into a tight ponytail that stopped right above her shoulder.

She held her katana waiting… for even the slightest sound. There was a faint sound of footsteps hitting the ground soft and quick directly behind her, that was her cue. The footsteps grew louder with every passing second, the girl swiftly turned, blocking an attack to her ribcage. The sound of clashing swords disturbed the forest and had caused an uproar among the animals. Both figures continued to try and land their swords on each other, after an hour or so it seemed, the second figure jumped back. The girl stood there panting, her long, silver hair dripping with sweat. The sheer black cloth that formed her clothes clung to her skin.

“Well done Kekumi,” the girl’s opponent complimented, bringing the intense sparring to an end. Kekumi bowed slightly after returning the sword to it’s sheath.

“You can return home now,” he continuted.

“Yes father,” Kekumi replied turning gracefully. She began walking, smiling while thinking back. She had definitely gotten a lot better usuing her katana. At first, she didn’t even want to pick up the elegant blade, now she was almost as good as her father, Nato. She had always preferred hand-to-hand combat over weapons, and was very fond of her bow and enjoyed archery. Kekumi’s petite frame continued to float silently across the forest floor. The girl jumped into a tree close to the entrance of the forest to look over her village. It was nearly mid-day and children were out playing, most adults were working, but any kids her age were nowhere to be seen. Kekumi jumped down off of the branch landing lightly, looked over her shoulder, and started home.

Kaijh Dihon

The boy ignored all of the meaningless words coming out of his best firend’s mouth. He was used to it after four years and had become sort of immune to the part of his friend that constantly tried to make him think less of himslef.

“Xanthus, are you ready for tomorrow?” the boy asked cutting off the annoying string of words.

“Wha-?” Xanthus answered confused, “oh yeah, I’ve been ready since yesterday. What about you?”

“Yeah, I’m ready… I was up late sharpening all of my weapons…” Kaijh answered running his hand through his reddish-brown, shoulder length hair and then shaking his head. His light green eyes seemed to sparkle with excitement and determination as the words rolled off of his tongue.

Xanthus laughed, “keep doing that and I’m gonna start calling you a ‘pretty boy’!” Kaijh replied by aiming a nasty look towards him and continued to walk.

“I will never be a ‘pretty boy’,” Kaijh said calmly.

“If you say so dude…”

Kaijh walked silently beside Xanthus until they were forced to go their separate ways home. When the boy finally reached his bedroom, he pulled out his katana and took a fighting stance in front of the full-body mirror. He went over practiced steps, having complete control over the sword with every movement. He was 5’11” and his defined muscles stood out on his slim body. His light tan complexion had no marks. Kaijh could pass for a “pretty boy”, but he would never let himself admit to it. It just didn’t suit him.

He laid the sword down next to the small pack which held all of his belongings that he would be taking with him. He and Xanthus had planned a journey, they wanted to get away from the three main villages. They didn’t have any idea what would happen, but that’s exactly how they wanted it to be. “We live for the excitement and surprises,” Xanthus would always say. And Kaijh would always smile and add, “and M’ken holds neither , but we’ll find a way out of here… one day…”

Kekumi Azume

The moment she was home, she made her way outside to the back. Kekumi was greeted with a nuzzle from Cloud, a white dappled grey horse that had had been with her for almost three years now. She stroked the beautiful beast’s neck and kissed it’s nose.

“How are you handsome?” she asked picking up a brush. Cloud nodded stomping his hoof as the girl began over his body with it. The two stood quietly until Kekumi was done. Then, she gave him an apple and retreated to her bedroom.

The girl untied the thin damp cloth holding her hair in a neat ponytail and allowed her hair to fall around her waist. She sat down on the window seat and looked up at the clouds. Her clothes had dried and she was fairly comfortable. She would go down to the hot spring later on to wash, no one would be there, no one would dare go into the forest at night. But Kekumi loved looking at the stars as the warm water loosened up her tense muscles. She watched the sky go from clear blue to pink while working her fingers through her hair. She wondered what it was like to associate with others her age, or any other kids besides Yokoshiro. Yokoshiro was 18, just two years older than herself and was like a brother to her. He had always been able to play with other kids and when they were not training with Nato, and would tell her of the games they played and the fun they would always have. Now he told her about how people change so much growing up and how the playing became real fights and how boys always had their swords drawn.

“Kekumi!” was shouted, startling the girl.

“Yes mother?!” she answered fleeing her room and running down the stairs.

“Yokoshiro is here…”

“Yoki!” Kekumi called running up to her cousin and hugging him tightly. The thin 5’10” boy returned the hug smiling. Kekumi looked up into his deep blue eyes admiring him. He was cute and still had childlike features although he was a lot more mature than most his in his age group. He had a light complexion and it always seemed that he was blushing when he wasn’t. And to finish him off, he had short, messy, dark blue hair.

Kekumi got over the exciting aura that Yokoshiro always brought with him and grabbed her cousin’s hand, dragging him up the stairs. She noticed that he didn’t have on his usual glove that covered the long deep gash he had received a few years back on his forearm. She closed the door, ran the couple steps to her bed and sat down on it crosslegged and smiling. Yokoshiro took the window seat like every time before.

“Yoki, you aren’t wearing your glove…” the girl said curiously, “why?”

“Gah! I rushed here remembering you said you wished to speak to me privately, I guess I forgot it,” her cousin answered hitting his forehead with his palm, “but nevermind the glove, I can wrap it. What did you want to see me about?”

Kekumi looked to the floor, her hair falling around her face hiding it. Yokoshiro felt that something was troubling her, he often felt this after her fifteenth birthday, but had never questioned her about it. A few minutes passed and tears rolled down her white cheeks and hit the floor silently.

“Why are you crying Kekumi?” he asked rushing towards her. He lifted her chin and wiped her eyes.

“Yokoshiro… I wanna leave!” she yelled.

“What? Leave? Huh?” Yokoshiro replied confused. He thought about what she had said and understood, “you want to leave Jhenra… for freedom?”

Kekumi nodded, “Im taking Cloud and leaving… will you come with me?”

“Yes… I will… but when do you plan to leave and where or how do you suppose we’ll end up?”

“I… I don’t know… but I plan to leave fairly soon, before the month is over. I don’t care where we go… just far away from here. I don’t know what’s gonna happen to us, but I am up to the challenge.”

Yokoshiro looked at her silently with his arms crossed, and then spoke, “Very well Kekumi. I hope you know it will be hard and that you expect danger.”

???

She stood at the very edge of the cliff with her arms crossed. The cliff gave her the perfect view of what was to her and anyone else who had been born and raised there, called “The Three Main Villages.” Depending on where you were born and raised, “The Three Main Villages” could be any three villages grouped together. This girl was born in M’ken, one of the three villages, Jhenra, M’ken, and Arzhen.

The girl could see everything, her Three Main Villages spread out like a map. She studied it for the last time before pulling the hood to her cloak over her head and turning away. Remaining in the shadows, she made her way back to M’ken. Children stopped what they were doing when she passed. All they saw were the bright burgundy eyes surrounded by darkness. Her usual, everyday attire consisted of a veil that covered her face so that no one could see her eyes, a sleek bodysuit, and a cloak. Today, no one recognized who she was, and that's what she wanted. All that was left in their memories that day were the two sparkling burgundy eyes. The girl continued to walk, like none of them existed.

Kaijh Dihon

Kaijh quickly sat up and held his head in has hands. Dreams of his late brother continued to haunt him in his sleep. He would not let himself be used, he had no intentions of dieing in a war because someone had broken alliances or decided they wanted to take over. That was his brother’s mistake… and it was NOT going to be his. He sighed and removed himself from his bed. He pulled a black shirt over his head and threw on some khaki pants. He stood before his mirror and tied a loose piece of cloth around his head to act as a headband. In a couple of hours, he and Xanthus would meet at a hidden place in the forest.

Kekumi Azume

She was high up in a tree, sleeping. Yesterday’s sparring was enough so that she did not have to train today. She planned on having some fun in the forest. Shooting… that was always fun. It was bright, a little past noon when the girl woke. She yawned and stretched, almost falling out of the tree. She looked over at the closest branch, making sure that her 20 lbs. bow was still there. She grabbed her belongings and jumped down, landing on another branch. After repeating this about six more times, she reached the ground and began walking towards a familiar clearing.

The girl stopped and looked directly overhead. The large opening casted a large supply of light down on the clearing. The trees were packed tightly around the area. At about a quarter mile in diameter, it was a perfect circle for her target practice. There was a small circle carved into every visible tree. Kekumi walked towards the center of the clearing. She looked at the target on a tree in front of her and held an arrow in her hand. Setting the arrow in place and slowly pulling back on the bowstring, she aimed for the carved circle. The arrow shot across its path to the tree’s center and struck. She had missed, by at least an inch… that wasn’t good. Kekumi sighed and tried again, this time aiming for another tree. Bullseye. The girl smirked and slightly tilted her head to the side.

“You’ve gotten really good,” a voice was heard from up in a nearby tree.

“Come down, there’s no point in you staying up there now that I know you’re here, now is there?” she replied turning to the voice directly behind her.

“No, I guess there isn’t,” Yokoshiro jumped down and strode towards her with his own bow. He sat down against a tree fairly close to her, “continue.”

“For a second I thought you were going to ask to participate.”

“I came here to ‘practice’ if you want to call it that, but you beat me here.”

“Oh, well if I want to be as good as you,” she said shooting another arrow, “I have to practice.”

“You missed…”

“I can see that Yokoshiro,” her lips curving into a frown.

“I'm sorry, I will stay quiet, but your not always going to have peace and quiet when your shooting… or as much time.”

Kekumi stayed quiet and launched another arrow quickly through the air out of frustration. She shot three more arrows in record time hitting all but one target.

“Quick enough?”

“Yes, but could you have done that if the target were moving or if the target were… human?”

She closed her eyes and pictured it, could she? She did not know.

“Didn’t think so.” A frightened snake slithered somewhere in the bushes. The sound of movement abruptly stopped in a matter of seconds as Yokoshiro shot an arrow. He got up, stepped into the bushes off to the left and returned holding the snake by the head. “Keep practicing Keku.”

Little Girl

A little girl, no more than five years of age stared into the shadows. The sparkling burgundy eyes stared back. The hooded figure breathed lightly. The slight movement of the stranger’s chest was all that confirmed that it was actually alive.

Xanthus Miroc

It was late, he was just waking up, stretching. He crawled out of bed, what time is it?, he thought to himself. He looked out of his window and quickly turned to get ready. I hope I’m not late! He shuffled around, pulling his clothes on and strapping his vest over his body. He grabbed the pack he had assembled yesterday along with his weapons, and rushed out, saying goodbye to his father and kissing his mother on the cheek.

“Promise me you’ll come back,” his mother, Lily, said staring into his eyes.

“I promise,” he looked at his father again and walked through the doorway. He practically raced into the forest, jumping over tree roots and almost falling at sharp turns. The sun was beginning to set, around six. It was getting harder to see which way he was going at the pace he was running. After about 15 minutes, he skidded to a stop, panting. Kaijh was leaning against a tree with his eyes closed.

“I should have known you would be late.”

“Im sorry man… I overslept.”

Kaijh sighed, “well your gonna have to stop, I shouldn’t have to wake you all the time we’re together.”

“Yeah… so what next?”

Kekumi Azume

She slept quietly, the moonlight highlighting her pale face. She had been sleeping for hours, soundlessly in her room. There was a scream, and a series of sounds. The girl’s eyes shot open, she scrambled out of bed and darted towards her parents' room. She threw the door open and looked around. A dark figure silently ran towards the window and was gone. Kekumi’s eyes turned to her parent’s bed, blood stained the white sheets and Kekumi stared, speechless. Nato was breathing heavily, but her mother was still in bed. She ran towards her mother and grabbed her hand. She slowly pushed away the hair covering the woman’s beautiful face and tears escaped from her eyes.

“She killed Seraii…” Nato whispered finally able to find words. He stumbled back into a wall, “how? Who-?”

Kekumi watched and could barely make out the string of words that escaped her father’s mouth, “who was that? And why didn’t you stop him?… STOP TALKING TO YOURSELF! I WANT AN ANSWER!”

Words continued to roll off of his tongue. Kekumi kissed her mother’s forehead and ran to her room. Nato was calling her name, she didn’t care, her father’s answer was enough. It was time to go.

Yokoshiro Tentu

“Yoki! Yoki! Please get up!”

The boy’s eyes slowly opened, he jumped at the sight of his cousin.

“What are you doing here Kekumi?”

“It’s time to go.”

“Time to go?” he looked her over, fully dressed in the outfit he had only seen her in during training, except this one was crimson, not black. “We can’t leave now.”

“But we have to.” Kekumi was packing his things. She was in a hurry.

“Why? What happened?”

“Hurry! Before father comes!”

“He knows you’re here?”

“Not yet…” she continued to whisper, “but I don’t know what kind of state he is in now…”

“State? What happened Kekumi?!” he whispered fiercely while Kekumi throwing his shirt over his head. He pulled on his black pants and tied on his belt.

“Someone killed my mother... I think I know who it was.”

Yokoshiro watched her silently, then, he grabbed his things and turned to the window, “time to go.”

Selkie

She sat purring in a tree, tail curled around her. Her ears moved detecting even the slightest sounds. The sun was going down and she had just awoken from her cat nap. She yawned and stretched continuing to observe her surroundings. A bird flew by her and she pawed at it laughing. She jumped out of the tree and followed the bird trying to catch it.

Kaijh Dihon

He and Xanthus were tired of walking, but this was only obvious in one of the boys.

“Can we stop here?!” Xanthus cried sighing.

“NO! There is nowhere to start a fire or anything, stop asking. I want to stop just as much as you do,” Kaijh answered rolling his eyes. Xanthus hit his palm against his head and threw his head back pouting. Kaijh ignored his friend and looked for a place to rest. The forest seemed a lot bigger now that they were on a trail that was unfamiliar to them. Kaijh heard a noise in a nearby tree and looked. He shook his head and continued to walk, Xanthus dragging his legs along behind him.

“HA!”

Kaijh and Xanthus jumped as this creature jumped onto the path. They looked at it and admired what they saw, then they noticed the cat-like features on the girl. She stood no more than 5 feet and had a small frame. Her huge green eyes had black slits for pupils, they darted around studying them as they did her. She had long brown hair up in two ponytail, and short, pointed ears that protruded out of the top of her head covered with a creamy light brown fur. A tail could be seen swaying like it had a mind of its own covered with the same colored fur. The boys continued to stare in amazement.

“So, what are you doing here?” the girl asked walking around them.

“Uhh… umm… well…” Xanthus answered scratching his head.

“We’re just taveling,” Kaijh replied, his eyes following her.

“Oh, okay then,” she said stopping directly in front of Kaijh.

“Well, we’ll be going now…” Kaijh said walking around the girl. Xanthus followed close behind wondering about the girl. Kaijh stopped and turned noticing that she was following them.

“Your friend looks tired, I know a place where we can rest,” the small girl said scratching her head.

“Umm… we? Who are you anyway?” Kaijh snapped.

“Well! I’m Selkie,” she said watching the boys’ eyes follow her tail back and forth, “yes, I am a half-human, a Felinen… half… cat… CAN YOU PLEASE STOP STARING AT MY TAIL?!”

Startled, the boys looked away from her tail.

“Oh, okay then… well where’s this place you said you know of?” Xanthus asked, trying not to look at her tail again.

“It’s a little away from here, but it’s the best place to be when it gets real late. I’ll show you if you let me travel with you guys.”

“What?! NO!” Kaijh shouted.

“Oh come on Kaijh! Let her stay with us!” Xanthus cried.

“Well I guess you can find it yourself!” Selkie replied turning on her heel, “goodbye then.”

Sighing, Kaijh watched her walk away for no more than 10 seconds, “okay! You can come…” He was tired and his muscles ached with every move.

“Thanks!” the girl said, her eyes sparkling as she smiled at them.

Yokoshiro Tentu

He breathed lightly, his eyes closed and his back against a tree in the shadows. His cousin was in the hot spring washing. It seemed she always knew where to find one. They had been walking all day, and Kekumi hadnt said more than five words. They had been to M’ken, in search of his aunt’s murderer, but they didn’t find her. It was to be expected, but now where could she have gone? Yokoshiro sighed, someone was in the forest, very close. He could hear them speaking. One had a high pitched voice and had been heard talking since he could hear them.

“Kekumi… There are others here in the forest… they're coming this way, you should finish.

“I know… I heard them too,” she said pulling on her clothes. She spoke so low it was hard for even him to hear her. She pulled her hair back in a ponytail and sat down holding her knees to her chest. She watched the steam from the spring fill the air creating a sparkling rainbow of colors hovering above the water.

“Here we go!” a girl said looking around. Two boys appeared by her side. “Uhh? Wha-?” The girl and two boys stood looking back and forth from Kekumi to Yokoshiro. Kekumi closed her eyes and ignored the strangers.

“Who are you?” Yokoshiro asked, his eyes still closed.

“I’m Selkie, this is Kaijh, and this is Xanthus. Who are you two?”

“Yokoshiro, I wont tell you her name. If she wants you to know, she’ll tell you herself. Why are you here? We were resting.”

“And we came to do just that. Rest.” Selkie said shifting all of her wieght onto her left leg. Kaijh and Xanthus watched, too tired to speak.

“Well, we’re not going to stop you. Leave us alone, and we wont bother you.”

Selkie nodded smiling brightly, “okay!” Xanthus and Kaijh collapsed in place, they wanted to jump around like little kids but didn’t have the energy to. Yokoshiro’s eyes finally openned, he looked over at Kekumi and sighed. He studied the strangers, watching them closely. He had seen a half-human once in his life, but it had the wings of a powerful eagle. The Felinen seemed to have a peaceful, attracting vibe.

Xanthus Miroc

He was tired, but could not sleep. He had been waiting for this moment for a long time. Kaijh was asleep and Selkie was laying down close enough so that he could hear her purring. He looked over at the two other people there. The boy, Yokoshiro, hadn’t even moved since the last time they spoke. He just sat there, his eyes closed, openening them only every half hour or so to look over at the silver-haired girl, who also hadn’t moved. She was so still he had often forgotten she was there, until Yokoshiro looked over at her, reminding him. He looked over at Selkie and sighed. He closed his eyes and tried once again to get some sleep. After a couple of minutes, he gave up.

He sat up and turned to Yokoshiro, “So where are you two from?”

“Jhenra,” was all he got as an answer.

“Oh, so your apart of the same main villages as me and Kaijh.”

“I guess.”

“So do you guys have any particular reason for being out here alone?”

“Yes.”

“Cool, me and Kaijh were getting tired of M’ken and decided to leave. I think Kaijh just wanted to be free from everyone holding him back. But I’m just along for the ride.”

“M’ken?” Yokoshiro asked opening his eyes. Kekumi shifted a little, but that was all.

“Yes?”

“Do you know a girl named Leita?”

“I’ve heard of her… yeah… I think Kaijh knows more about her than I do. But, I believe she was one of the few girls in our academy.”

Yokoshiro remained silent, deep in thought. Finally, he spoke, “How did you come to meet Selkie?”

Xanthus laughed, “well it was actually pretty weird! She just popped up out of nowhere all energetic and started talking. She told us about this place and we were already tired from walking for so long. She would only bring us here if we allowed her to travel with us. I have felt this attraction towards her since we’ve met though…”

“Yes… I know, I’ve heard of female Felinen softening the hearts of men, making them happier, more open-minded, and a lot of other things. I felt it too.”

“Hmm… well that’s pretty interesting. I’m gonna try to get to sleep again.”

Yokoshiro nodded and looked over at Kekumi.

Kekumi Azume

She was very uncomfortable, doing nothing but breathing and blinking to assure the others around her that she was still alive. The bloodstained memory of her mother’s death stuck in her head like a paused movie. There were no tears left for her to cry, even the comforting voice of Yokoshiro couldn’t help. She wanted to hate her father, but something inside her just wouldn’t let it be. So, she sat, only when Leita and M’ken became the subject of the boys’ conversation did she pay attention. The name made her want to punch a hole through someone’s chest, but she did not let it show.

She and Yokoshiro were finally the only two awake. Her body was stiff from being in one position for so long, but she managed to turn and face her cousin.

“Do you think we should accompany them? There is a chance that we could learn more about Leita and possibly figure out where she is,” Kekumi asked, almost whispering.

“I’m only here because of you, so it’s your choice. We have no idea where Leita is or what else she has planned. Hardly anyone in M’ken had heard of her or had known of her very existence, and those who had, only knew that she very rarely spoke, and spoke of death and power when she did.”

“So what should we do? Ask to join them or not?”

“Which do you prefer?”

“I prefer alone, but I will do whatever helps us the most.”

“So you will ask to join them in the morning. You need to get some sleep Keku.”

Kekumi nodded and her eyes traveled back to the spring. After an hour or so, she fell asleep, so close to the water that she would have fallen in if she mad even the slightest move.

Kaijh Dihon

He yawned and stretched, the sun warmed his face as he looked around. His friends were still asleep. The girl that did not mention her name the previous day was too asleep, her arm in the spring. He walked over and cautiously picked her up. He put her down away from the spring, kneeled beside her and moved the hair covering her face to the side. She seemed uneasy, disturbed, and couldn’t keep still, her eyes moved around frantically underneath her eyelids. He watched her and then got up and walked away, deciding that the would be better off leaving her alone for now. He glanced over at Yokoshiro, who was also asleep, against a tree. He thought to himself, why wasn’t anyone smart enough to stay up? What if something were to happen?! No one would know, and-!

The girl began to squirm again, he looked over at her. She began to toss and turn and he returned to her side. He tried to wake her up, and succeeded, although that led him to almost being slapped across his face.

“Get away from me!” she screamed, her eyes opened and she stared at him. Kaijh answered her with silence and a blank look, not knowing what to do next. She calmed down and sat up.

“What were you dreaming about?” he asked.

“None of your business,” she answered looking at him with cold eyes. Her expressionn quickly softened and her voice lowered, “I am sorry if I hurt you… when you woke me up I mean.”

“Well… okay then… and you didn’t hurt me, but you came close to yourself. And if I hadn’t moved you away from the water, you would have fell in after you had that little fit.”

“Oh… well thank you, I guess.”

“You’re welcome. And you never mentioned your name.”

The girl looked up at him silently. She looked confused, but Kaijh couldn’t tell if she was or not.

“My name?…. umm… my name’s Kekumi.”

“Kekumi,” he said to himself, nodding. “Are you okay? You haven’t seemed too good since we’ve met.”

“I cannot say I’m okay and be sincere at the same time, but I don’t need anyone worrying. I would like to ask you something though.”

“Okay, what would you like to know?”

She hesitated for a moment, and finally asked, “would it be okay if my cousin and I accompany you and your friends? For now anyway?”

Kaijh looked at her, not knowing whether to say yes or no. She seemed harmless, and he felt like she couldn’t do anything to make him regret saying yes, Yokoshiro mostly kept to himself as far as he could tell. But there was already three of them, five people had never been part of the plan.

Kekumi sighed and looked away a bit disappointed.

“Yes, you two can come along.”

Selkie

She looked around angrily, she wasn’t used to waking up this early. She had did a little hunting last night on her watch, she knew they weren’t in any danger in this part of the forest.

“C’mon Selkie, we’ve gotta start moving now,” Kaijh said, leaning against a tree.

Her slitted eyes almost looked as if they were glowing as she stared at him, “fine, but we really need to start traveling more at night…”

Yokoshiro and Kekumi were standing together, speaking quietly to one another. Xanthus was still laid out on the grass, awake, but still on the grass. Selkie sighed and stood up, “let’s go then.”

“Get up, Xanthus. Kekumi and Yokoshiro are also coming with us.”

“Kekumi? Who’s that?” he remembered that there was still a face with no name amongst the group and put one and one together when no one would answer him, “oh…” He got to his feet and stretched, taking longer than the average person.

“COME ON XANTHUS!” Kaijh screamed. Selkie giggled like a four-year-old and began running into the forest. The rest followed, she was surprised they could keep up. Their faces all expressed determination and she smiled to herself. She came to an abrupt hault, the other tried to and stumbled over each other.

“Awesome!” Selkie cried laughing away. She rolled around on the ground holding her stomach. The others all looked at her not knowing whether to be mad or to laugh with her.

“What was that about?” Xanthus asked throwing his hands in the air.

“I’m guessing she was testing us,” Yokoshiro replied rolling his eyes, “either that or she just loves to play.” Selkie looked at them breathing heavily, a bright smile pasted on her face.

“So, where are we off to guys?” the felinin asked looking at the group before her.

“I guess the next village,” Kaijh answered.

“We haven’t been to Arzhen yet,” Yokoshiro added.

“Okay, we can head there now. Then, we can really go,” Kaijh said nodding.
