Ed Pakehc
Dra Fymmc Yna Lyjehk Eh...

Name:
Trothael Kaesin

Age:
Appears to be between 17 and 20

Occupation:
He's a traveller, he finds jobs to do wherever he goes. He makes his way mostly as a sellsword or mercenary.

Description:
Tall and slim. Grey eyes, shoulder length white hair. He wears rugged travelling garb with some layers of light armour made from loose leather straps and thin steel shoulderpads. Over this he wears a hooded cloak of thick black material with the hood pulled down when he's not travelling.

Weapons:
Longsword in a scabard across his back. Three daggers attached to his belt by chain and a pair of shortswords worn on a brace around his waist.

Bio/history:
Trothael comes from a village in the eastern mountains called Tel’Kador. The village was small but prospered enough to keep it’s folk happy. Trothael was still a child when his peaceful life was shattered.

In the cold night one year, a group of raiders had snuck to the edge of the village in preparation to launch a surprise attack. As the townsfolk retired to their homes, the raiders struck on the sleeping village. Those who were still ample to fight defended their families against the raiders, but were cut down by the planned attack. Trothael’s brother sacrificed his own life for his family in an attempt to stop a group of the bandits taking his sister as a slave. By dawn, anyone who resisted lay dead by the embers of dying flames of burnt building. Few survived the debauch slaughter, Trothael and his Father amongst those few.

What remained of the village was forced to become nomadic, travelling between villages as traders to stay alive in their search for a safer home.

Trothael had clung onto his brother’s blades as a memento of what his brother did for them, and a reminder of what evils the world held for him. As he grew older he began to train with the twin short swords, mastering the arts of combat that he could learn on his travels with his nomadic townsfolk. He was incompetent with the blades, but persevered to help atone for not being able to fight with his brother.

The years passed and Trothael added his own weapons to his brothers blades; a long sword and three daggers. Every day his proficiency with the weapons grew and he began to seek all forms of training that he could learn in his life. His dream was to become a bounty hunter and find his village a place to live once more, but his Father disagreed with his dream. Trothael and his Father grew more and more distant, no longer trusting one another nor spending any time with each other, which affected Trothael more than he thought.

On the night of Trothael’s seventeenth birthday, Trothael and his Father got into a dispute about Trothael’s wishes and dreams, and what shame he would bring to his Father by repeating his brother’s mistake. In a fit of rage, Trothael struck his Father and left the nomad town, knowing that he could only bring shame to what remained of his family and vowed not to return as he had left. Retreating to the closest town he could, he began his life as a mercenary. He was pitied by townsfolk, and scorned by others for being too young. He was forced to adopt assumed names and guises in order to find work.

Many years passed, and Trothael had fought many battles, including a great war as part of the Royal Guard. His experiences troubled him, and left him with many scars to remind him of his mistakes. He was filled with doubt and regret, leading him to believe he had sinned in the eyes of the Gods. Trothael worked hard to atone, but could not find atonement in his life. Finally he was led back to the people of Tel’Kador, where he found that his Father had become the chief of the people. Upon his arrival, he immediately sought out his Father who had forgotten everything about Trothael, turning him away as he would some beggar.

Trothael left the village for the second time, vowing not to return under the same pretences as he had this time, believing that his Father’s dismissal was his atonement. Trothael set out again on the path he set out on in the beginning as a mercenary and sell-sword ready to accept any job he could find to live.

Personality:
Abrasive at first, untrusting of those who cannot prove themselves to him. Described as condescending and sarcastic at times, at others strange to the point of being mysterious or an anomaly. Uncaring about his missions, but stoicly defensive about certain people. Willingly will manipulate people to get his own needs. Has been known to be warmer to people who have known him for some time and have proved themselves in his eyes.

---Some notes---I'm trying to draw a better picture than the current one.
The history requires fixing in some parts. Will update as soon as I can.
