Lilli's Notes
just a random gathering of things...
Set off
I woke up with the sun set, like every other night. And just like all other nights, there was a lot for me to do before the sun rise. First thing on my agenda was to get some blood. Some nights this task was rather simple while other nights, I felt like I was searching for one human among a bunch of lifeless forms. Many would say that my childlike appearance and innocent stance make things easy, yet I found that it could also be quite the hinderance.

I heard that Nisha was seen here, but I came too late. Missing signs were posted across the city, hundreds it seemed. Remnants of her and her followers littered the allyways and the cellars of the old inn and tavern. The humans would never venture in those places, but when they did, they wouldn't come back. This sparked many stories of monsters and vampires, my favorite being the one of the beautiful Indian woman in the blood red robes.

The story goes like this:
If one was to wander the streets at night, beware of a beautiful Indian woman in robes of red, with dark reddish-brown hair and vibrant red eyes. And it's those eyes which are most dangerous. If you were to look into them you'd loose your soul and you would join the many lost. Or that's what they said anyways. This story, along with a bunch of others brought me to this city, this horrible city.

This city was full of nothing but perverts and degenerates with the occasional kind soul. When blood was my desire I'd just wander around the city and I'll get people who try to help me. More often than not their "help" would be much less helpful than they thought. I'd only choose the perverts, or the "scum" of the city as my food, which ment a rather plentiful source. This was to be my last night in this city, I was sick and tired of this place. I was about to leave empty handed again until I happened across a street I never went down before.

So I walked down the empty street, and then everything fell silent. "Do you always walk around with such a happy expression little girl?" I stopped and looked towards my left and saw a man who was not there before. The man was clean cut, well groomed, and all dressed up in a black suit. The worst thing about him was the sarcasm in his voice and how he'd say everything with a smile, a wicked smile. Everything about him made me shiver, everything about him was cold. He scared me, but so did many of the meals I had.

As I looked at him, his devious smirk just continued to make it's way across his face. Something was seriously off, but I decided to talk anyway. "Oh, sorry sir. I-I just want to know where the River Suits is from here...I kinda got lost."

I kept my innocent look, but the more innocent I looked, the more the man smiled. "That's not really what you are looking for is it little Lilliiona."

My name? How could he know my name? I never told anyone it, I went by Wynn for the past 100 years. Maybe I heard wrong, maybe...so I just had to ask. "Pardon me sir, what did you just say?" The man's smile stayed the same as he took a step closer. I backed away, "for I do believe you just called me Lilliiona."

The man took another step foward as I steped back once again. "Well, yes. I would think is is only proper to call someone by one's name. Am I wrong?" I just stood in place as the man circled around me and once he got to my front, he gave a slight bow. "But I'm being rude, aren't I. Allow me to introduce myself. I am known to many as Caine." As he spoke his smile became warmer, a bit more friendly. I haven't seen a smile like this in a long time, it was the kind of smile one's parent would give. "Now as I was saying, that really isn't what you're looking for now, is it?"

I couldn't help but gaze into Caine's smile. "What makes you think that Lilliiona is my name, might I ask?"

He smiled more, "I don't think it's your name. I know that is your name. In fact, I know a lot about you, you and your family." He straitened up from his bow and starred straight into my eyes. I felt as if his glare was burning holes into my soul, reading every part of my life just like it was an open book. I started to back up to a safer distance, keeping my eyes locked with his. "You say you know all about me sir, then would you do me the kindness of telling me what I'm looking for?"

"Oh, some woman for something or other. She did something to your life in the past," Caine nodded his head then continued speaking. "It doesn't worry me as much as what you can do for me, but I could help you on your way...for a fair price of course."

"Fine then sir, I have just two questions for you. What may I call you...and what is your price?"

He smirked once again, "Call me Lord Caine, and the price is simple...your services for awhile. I need your talents to help with a little conflict."

I really didn't trust him, but his power was overwhelming, it just sent shivers throughout my body. "My lord, I am in your service." I bowed as he smiled. "I enjoy my freedom and my quest, but what could I accomplish if was was to be no more. So I shall help you as long as you promise to let me destroy her."

Caine crossed his arms and starred at me with a very satisfied look on his face. "You can do all the destroyin gyou want, so long as you do it in my name," he pulled a letter out from under his arms, as if from thin air. He placed the letter into my hand. "Then I shall be seeing you soon. Till then, fare well," he bowed and then vanished in a mysterious fog.

I opened the letter and saw an address on a piece of paper, along with a little note.

Little one,
Come to the address tomorrow at midnight. The place is known as the Witches Tomb. Come alone and bring only what you need and what you think will help serve my cause. There a portal will be waiting for you. When you enter it I will be on the other side. I will be there waiting for you but not as you have saw me this night. I will appear different to you but do not fear you will know me when you see me.

Lord Caine

"I suppose I must go to this place called the Witch's Tomb...," I stuffed the letter in my pocket and quickly found a meal. Once I was finished I said goodbye to that horrid excuse for a city, I took the few possessions I had left, my memories and my hatred of the woman who stole my life.
