Some people are starting to take this whole alien thing way too seriously. sweatdrop It was a lot of fun at first, but there are some people who make it so.. DRAMATIC. So what if someone else finds out about this? I mean, it's not like it's really going to end the world, this is fiction here! People seem to forget that. And there will always be jerks who live to make other people's lives miserable, just ignore them, there's nothing you can do. And keeping 'secrets' seems to be a little selfish to me...
Yes, the alien thing has been fun, but some people know how to take the fun right out of some things.
On another note... I miss UFO 02... =(

Well it's election day and I just got back from voting. I thought since I went to vote early that there wouldn't be such a crowd, but there was.
Here in RI there's a very close senate race, so it's essential that everyone who can vote does. 3nodding
While I was waiting in the ridiculously long line, the woman in front of me said, 'I should have brough my iPod like you.' To which I replied, 'Oh, it's not an iPod, it's a CD player. I'm too cheap for an iPod.' Which is true, I'm too cheap for an iPod. If I want one, I'll let someone else buy it for me. XD
Anyway... I've done my civil duty for the day, and I've got a sticker to prove it.

I'm so thrilled. I drew a picture of my avatar on top of UFO 02 the night before last and put it in my signature. Never in my entire life have I had people say, 'Oh wow I love your art! Will you draw my avatar?' to me. I actually feel appreciated, and I'm somewhat flattered. If I wasn't starting a full time job in a week, I'd open an art shop. ^_^;;;
But a big thanks to all that requested art from me. =D

So the boy that I liked wasn't what he seemed.
I went out with the boy I liked last week. Just as a friend, of course. Now, I'm a girl who likes to listen to her music in the car without interruption. I had a CD in the radio, and a certain song that I really liked came on. The boy says to me 'Oh, I really don't like this song.' And he has the nerve to change it! No one touches my radio, thank you very much. That's just not cool. Not to mention he adjusted the treble and bass settings on the sound system. He turned the bass all the way down! I love bass, I can't live without it.
Another reason why I've decided I'm going to remain 'just friends' with this boy, is that he just LOVES to talk about himself. He does so much, that there's no room for a conversation, it's completely one-sided. And when I want to talk, he usually ends up interrupting me.
Oh well, there are other fish in the sea. And I'm in no rush to be in a relationship.

So, I must admit I'm not the best with chopsticks. I think if I ever moved to an asian country, I would die of starvation. Of course, most asian countries use forks and spoons now too.
I guess my biggest problem is that I can't hold chopsticks properly. My friends tell me to 'hold one like a pencil.' And apparently, that's my problem. I have discovered that I hold pencils differently than everyone else! So holding one chopstick like a pencil just doesn't work for me.
It really isn't too big of a deal. Overall, I'm decent with chopsticks, especially when it comes to rice. If all else fails, I can just stab what I'm eating with one chopstick, and pretend I'm holding it.

My friends love Japanese food. Or do they? |

I have a large number of friends who claim they love Japanese cuisine. They always tell me how they wish they could eat it everyday for every meal. I would want that too, but not if it was only rice.
Yesterday I went out to a Japanese restaurant with one of my friends, one who I thought would eat anything on the face of the earth. So we were looking at the menu, it mainly consisted of sushi. (Oh and sushi refers to the rice, not the fish, just so you know. ^_^)
My friend said to me he didn't know what to order. I reccomended some certain kinds of sushi and he made a face. "I don't really like fish, but I guess I'll try it." He said, reluctantly. I was shocked! He likes Japanese food, but he doesn't like fish? He also expressed that he really didn't like meat in general. How can this be? Fish is a main ingredient in Japanese food, meat too! I can add him to my list of friends that say they love Japanese food and hate fish at the same time.
Anyway, I ended up ordering some salmon, shrimp, tuna, and octopus sushi. They were very very good. And I think that everyone, if given the chance, should try octopus. It's surprisingly good. For dessert I ordered some Taiyaki, a pastry shaped like a fish filled with sweet red bean jam, it was delicious!
I guess the bottom line is, eat fish. It's good for you. And if you're planning to go to Japan it will help prepare you. whee
