Autumns Games
Upon still waters the maple leaf lays not sinking nor floating, just waiting for the wind to catch it's breath and play.
Deep in still ponds, where shadows spawn the riches to feed the earth rumbles a bubble that dares to grumble and is released in a gaseous display.
It bursts beneath the maple leaf tumbling it under into the waves till slowly now ... ever so slowly now it sinks beneath the surface.
Silently the wind picks up and laughs with the watery waves as they both give witness to another jewel they have captured this very day.
Today, upon still waters the maple leaf lays not sinking nor floating, just waiting for the wind to catch it's breath and play.
