A taste of Spite
"Hello, old friend" "Hello, my enemy"
The hallway is long and well lite. The stone floor is well washed and the walls but the walls are marked and scratched. I get to the end and the knobless door stares at me.
"Voice verification and password." the door askes me.
"Zing. Piff. Boom." I should really put a guard at this door too.
"Voice verification confermed." The door slides up and the light is blinding. I walk inside. I go inside. I become inside.

The virgin white grass is short but uncept. I take off my shoes and socks and let the coolness of the ground accept me. The stark white walls are high and welcoming. I hang my coat up on the only peg and walk towards the only contrast in the center of the room, a metal cage. It isn't large, only four foot by six. There is no bed in the cage, no water bowel or food tray, no toys or paper, no pen to fiddle with. Just a naked man. It's hair overs the back and chest, the sideburns are large and excessive. It's black mane comes half way down it's neck and curels upward at the ends. It's slumped over because it has to, it can not lay down or sit up. There is a sign hanging from the cage: Do not feed the Bear.

I walk over to him but he doesn't stir or even look up. "I know why you're here." He puts his hands together as if he was praying. "You only come to me when there's trouble. Or you have no idea what you're doing."
"You've heard what's been going on topside?" I sit down right infront of the cage and wipe my swetty hands threw the grass. I hate talking to this thing. His right eye comes up to meet my face and then he nods. "Well, it turns out you were right. About her, that is." The brief pause cause my stomach to turn. He makes me say the words that he knows I hate saying. He feeds off of them. "So, I came here to ask you, what should we do now?"
"We? You speak as if I had a part in this. I told you so. would be the most advice I can give you. Should I walk out of here? Should I just show you what you shouldv'e done?" He smerks because this is the most he's had to feed off of in a long time.
"You know I can't let you out. Remember the last time?" My right hand rubs my temple. His smile widens.
"Ofcorse I remember." He turns to show his toothy grin. "She was Delicious."
"I still have the Problem to deal with, this ones not going away any time soon. Should I finish it, or leave it as an ellipsis?" I lean back and fall on my hands like a tripod.
"You know my answer. Why do you come here to agrue with me? To make yourself feel better? No, you don't need that. Or is it because you know I'm right? Remember, you put me in here for a reason. I didn't crawel in here on my own." He cracks his knuckles in about three different places then his neck. "Or did you just come to get a rise out of me?"
"I don't know why I keep comeing back here. Maybe one day you'll be dead and I can go on lying to myself uncumber." Another pause, I hate these more than anything. I hate this more than anything.
"Marla didn't leave you. You left Marla. So, go ******** yourself." He shows me the middle finger and then makes a fist, three cigarettes come out of the webbing of his fingers, like claws. "Neat trick, huh?" He puts one behind each ear and sticks one in his mouth. Pressing his thumb, pointer finger and his ring finger together a blue flame shoots out of their tips. "Making something from nothing is easy. You just have to know what you want." He takes a drag from the cigarette and coughs hard. He puts his hand over his mouth and spit and flem comes out of the sides. "Lookie here!" He holds up a gold ring in his hand cover in snot and blood. "Maybe she'll love you if you give her this." I reach out my hand and stick my fingers threw the chicken wire mesh and pintch it with my two fingers. "And you tell people I never do anything for you. Look whats in your hand now!" I open my fist and a dead rose petal is all that's there.
"Damn your magic." I say meakly as I shake my head. "Damn your lies." I look up and there are no cigarettes not even one in his mouth. I stand up and the blood rushes to my head. I blink a couple of times to get a better view.
"Leaveing so soon?" He begins to laugh. "Don't leave me, Marc. ********! Not again, Marc! NOT LIKE THIS!"
I can still hear his laughter even after the door slams shut and I change the password again.
