5. Final fantasy 9(PS1).
I picked this title because its a newer FF title, but i like it because it returned to the series root. Wish more of the new FF title were like this one.
4. Crono Cross(PS1)
This is an amazing sequel to one of the greatest games ever made.
With a good plot an insane plot twist, and over 40 playable characters, and high replay value. I recommend this game to everyone.
3. Final Fantasy 3/6 (SNES, PS1)
The best Final Fantasy IMO.
Great plot, memorable characters, and the best evil laugh ever, all help make this game amazing.
2. Crono Trigger (SNES, PS1)
This game is amazing. Has great character, great plot, crazy plot twists, and 15 different endings, this all help make it my 2nd favorite RPG.
1. Xenogears (PS1)
This game has it all, hand drawn anime cut-scenes, Giant robots, characters you can relate to, best plot I've seen, great plot twists, and no half-hour ending/credits.
I actually felt a little sad when I beat the game because I want to play forever.

I've heard some people say FF1 sucks. Well it does not suck in my opioin heres why:
Characters: You can chose who you wan't in your party so you chould have all black mages or all white mages. just about any combo of black mage,white mage, red mage, theif, fighter, monk.
And once your Characters get there better classes, you can have 4 ninjas(theifs)!
The only downside is 4 letters per person on the Nes version sad .
Characters get an 8/10

Graphics: Sure they suck now a days but back in the 80's the were awesome.
And I don't know what it is but to me they there is something special about the 8-bit graphics, when they redid the game for the GBA the updated the graphics, I felt like the game lost something.
Graphics gets 7/10

Gameplay: It is nice and simple no complex butten orders you have to press.
But the game gets slightly slowed down do to alot of random battles.
Gameplay gets a 7/10

Music: Sure it sounds bad now but in the 80's it sounded good. And besides the 8-bit sound give the game a nice feel. And it sounds cool like the victory theme and battle theme and there is my favorite Matoya Cave.
Music gets a 8.7/10

Plot: most people say it crappy its not it was really good in the 80's and its decent to day.
And come on the game was like 512kb thats smaller the a floppy disk. Also the game has a killer ending.
Plot gets a 7.5/10

Over all 7.9/10. Also without FF1 we would not have Final Fantasy as it is today !
