	Ramblings of a Semi - Madwoman You'll know it when you read it!


My apartment burned down last Saturday... Nearly all of our stuff, my boyfriend's cat, and my millipede were lost... Being homeless sucks. Now, instead of our awesome apartment, we're gonna have to live in a tiny RV, I guess until they rebuild the other apartment. It's weird. You go through life thinking you have a certain set of problems to deal with. Then, all of a sudden, one thing changes, and something as simple as having shelter becomes the most important thing of all. It was so terrible when we found my boyfriend's cat, after both of mine survived (one was grabbed as we escaped, the other was waiting for us the next day). I was broken up about it as well, of course. But what could I say to my boyfriend to comfort him?? 'I'm sorry'? 'That really sucks'?? I've been with this man for almost 2 years, we're practically engaged. But I don't know how to comfort him. I could only hug him and cry for him and the cat. I always told the cat I didn't like him, but we all knew better... The thing always slept on me... My cats will miss him too... It's so unfair... I'd give back whatever meager things that survived... our clothes, dishes, everything there was... just to get that stupid cat back... AceDr · Mon May 28, 2007 @ 11:13am · 1 Comments
