Okay here's what happened. I went golfing with my Uncle Tony(the one with Cancer) and my best freind Ryan. It was cold foggy mourning and we went to the same golf couarse where I got caught sneaking on(the first journal called "A Funny Golf Story" wink . We got to the 3th hole when hell broke loose. It started to rain. I said, "Let's get to Shelter, guys." Did they listen. Nope. After we played the 4th hole in the rain......*sigh*.........Pandora's Box opened with a thunderus boom. We were now in the middle of a Lighting storm. We are on the 4th hole, carrying metal clubs, in the open, with no trees near by. Oh yeah we're safe. Funny thing is, I had a gut feeling before we started. We ran like our asses were on fire to a shelther. I might add taht the shelther was a wooden tent thing. VERY safe. we were there for 15 minutes until I used my internet phone, to see how bad it was on the weather cycle. I saw a small glimspe until Lighting struck only 250 yards away in a lake. I froze up, Ryan screamed, and my dear old Uncle, wet himself. I closed my phone and said we need to get the ******** outta here. Everyone looked at me and said how? I called the clubhouse and asked for help. They sent 3 golf carts and we drove through 2 foot puddles and got to the clubhouse. After about 20 minutes or so, the rain lifted but there was still lighting. 9 golfers at the clubhouse WENT OUT TO PLAY MORE GOLF!!!! I went home and played Halo.
So the lessons are:
1.) When I have a bad gut feeling, Listen to me!
2.) Dont golf in a lightning storm....DUH
3.) Ryan screams like a girl
