Good News For zOMG fans Last two days had been fun and challenging digging through the zOMG server. It would not have been fun if I haven't made any progress, but by the end of the night it seems that there is a good chance, with enough time and patience, we could bring the servers back to life. Still got a lot of kinks to sort out, and I still got to learn the many scripts needed to make the multiple servers work together, then I'll need to make sure that the new server is actually working bug free. Not sure how many days that will take, but I'll keep everyone updated as I get closer.

Just as a question, will this mean that their could be a possible reboot/reset for everyone? I know that some people may have sold their rings due to the news of it never coming back, what does that mean for us? Will we be getting new rings or would we have to buy our rings? I'm kinda hoping to start back to level one so I could get my hubby into playing it with me. smile

This is the best news I've heard on here in years, besides your return and Gaia getting fixed all around!!
I'm so happy, and will definitely be looking forward to seeing what can be done with zOMG. It was the reason I logged on every single day, for quite a long time.

Thank you so much for your dedication to Gaia.

I'm not really a gamer, zOMG! is the first and only MMO I fell in love with and I haven't found a replacement that I can play using Linux yet. Just the possibility of it coming back makes this 40+ year old woman almost as happy as the news that I'm going to be a grandma in about a month did.

Actually learned about this through Gail's Facebook post. Immediately rushed to log on after I don't know how many years of inactivity (not including random check-ins). Very excited to hear this and expressing my support. Myself, fiancé and a few friends had quit after the shutdown, so I'm hopeful for it to open back up again.

I came back recently after more then 5 years away only because I heard that you had come back to Gaia. I had hoped that you would pick the zOMG back up and you didn't let me down. You are the reason I came back. You and your love for this weird little community.

Everyone who sold their rings is gonna be so pissed if/when the game comes back online! I can't even believe you're entertaining the idea of bringing back our beloved game. I'd think it was an early April fools joke but honestly I'm hopeful.
