Deals page complete, more done on zOMG Now that the deals page is completed, tomorrow we should be deploying the new announcement system that will create categorized announcements and move community announcements to the top. The combination of the deals page and the new announcement system should get rid of announcement spam finally. I've made much more progress on the zOMG server, now I need to wait for operations to turn on the other servers, then I will need to figure out the deployment scripts where I can configure all servers at once instead of working on them one by one. So meanwhile, I started working on the additional features for Gaia Favorites. When I got back in December, I marked down the 3 biggest pain points on Gaia being: - zOMG - Announcement spam - Hyper-inflation I think that by the end of Feb we can tackle 2 of the 3 pain points and we can resolve the last one by end of March. I'm excited just thinking about it. Got a plan setup for tackling inflation, nothing sophisticated but I think it'll help address many Gaian's concerns moving forward. But first, time to sleep. My arm's getting sore.

Thank you SO MUCH for listening to users and working so hard to fix these problems! I think hyper-inflation is the biggest issue. I'm really happy to hear that you're trying to bring zOMG back though, that game was really fun and I have so many good memories of it. Thanks again!

And hey, even if you do not succeed with zOMG. At least you put in the effort. We really appreciate that.

Do please give us a heads up (or a hint) on your plans to beat the inflation so we aren't shocked and turn into an angry hoard of hornets. I worry about that and after all the effort you have been putting into everything, I hate to see it all go wrong. Gold sinks will still be very important to helping out.

and then lanzer ended up slowly moving all the gold amounts we get by a comma every other day. (market listings as well) and somehow inflation got a tiny bit less. Especially after he somehow did a cash dump.

I think it's nice to see so much work getting done. Please remember that health comes first, and you should rest whenever needed. Us Gaians can wait another few days if we need to, but there will be nothing to look forward to if you get sick. Cheers! heart

Great news! I came back from a years-long hiatus recently and was 1) disappointed at the lack of zOMG, 2) appalled at the inflation, and 3) baffled by all the announcements. I'm so happy to hear that those will all be worked on. heart
