Deals page complete, more done on zOMG Now that the deals page is completed, tomorrow we should be deploying the new announcement system that will create categorized announcements and move community announcements to the top. The combination of the deals page and the new announcement system should get rid of announcement spam finally. I've made much more progress on the zOMG server, now I need to wait for operations to turn on the other servers, then I will need to figure out the deployment scripts where I can configure all servers at once instead of working on them one by one. So meanwhile, I started working on the additional features for Gaia Favorites. When I got back in December, I marked down the 3 biggest pain points on Gaia being: - zOMG - Announcement spam - Hyper-inflation I think that by the end of Feb we can tackle 2 of the 3 pain points and we can resolve the last one by end of March. I'm excited just thinking about it. Got a plan setup for tackling inflation, nothing sophisticated but I think it'll help address many Gaian's concerns moving forward. But first, time to sleep. My arm's getting sore.

I quit gaia after it turned to s**t with the new people running it.
A friend keeps a eye on the site once in awhile and told me of your return and now that Zomg has a good chance at coming.

Zomg is how I met a lot of my good friends and my fiancee. If zomg comes back my crew will come back,super excited about this news!
We can just avoid the market until that s**t heap is fixed. It's practically unusable for returning users and new ones..

Super pumped about zomg having a chance at returning though!! any idea when we can see servers back up? months etc.

Seriously,goosebumps at the zomg news.

We appreciate your hard work! Zomg was a main reason a lot of people left, as well as the inflation. If those are tackled, we might see the community come back! I'll put in word for it too.

By the way. One of the big issues you need to deal with as far as zOMG is concerned, is that security issue before you go full live. It's the one big major issue that got it shut down. I am surprised no one brought this up yet. So no pressure to get it up before you are absolutely ready to.

Your fixes on the LK kins gave me a mini heartattack when I couldn't find the kins I always fight with because I always kept those in my locker haha.

I'm not sure if anyone suggested it yet but could you make a Kin team option so you can easily switch between groups of kins without having to sift through all the level 1 kins which you aren't training?

Thanks so much for your hard work. The announcement spam and inflation have been truly insane. I hope Gaia can become as fun as it used to be again. For me, zOMG is a major part of that and I am especially glad to hear there is real progress being made towards the possibility of its return. heart

So often it seems that anything done to alleviate the economy involves money sinks such as the 2017 Valentines event.

As someone who has been here since the first year...as an adult, with her multiple children playing...

Please, keep in mind that each day, new people will sign up for Gaia...they do not have the benefit of having trillions of dollars...

This makes events such as these very impossible for them.

If you are going to have money sinking then perhaps find ways to do so without effecting traditional events on Gaia. heart
