It's been great that you've stayed optimistic, but it's also to be expected that you'd run in to a few things unplanned along the way. It hasn't seen the light of day in years.

Lanzer, you are amazing! The mere fact that within a couple of months you have shown so much dedication and have already gotten this far is truly commendable - all while being transparent about it. Please take your time, and we will be patient. Think about investing in wrist support/more ergonomic peripherals so that you don't end up with carpal tunnel from all the programming you're doing. Just a heads up: You guys might want to add "Fix the Welcoming Fairy" to the list!

When you register for a new account, you receive guidance PMs from an NPC called the welcoming fairy. Lots of the stuff she references, like zOMG, doesn't exist on Gaia anymore and could lead to lots of confusion for new users.

It's easy to forget about an NPC like this because most experienced users will never run into it, but you have to keep it in mind when changing and removing stuff to make sure you don't break her!

Thanks for all of your effort and faith, Lanzer. I've been a member since 2003 (and live somewhat close to Gaia HQ) and it was so frustrating to see your site and years of passion go down the toilet. I'm glad you're back. I hope that you feel it's worth it the second time around, too. ^_^

Just your promise alone fills me with hope for Gaia again. Gaia was the very first website I ever spent money on, and I still remember when I was an eight grader buying that stamp to send the money of for my first monthly item.
